  • Aarrgh lost my internet connection and a long (ish) post!

However, long story short - didn't manage the expected 2 NSDs due to extra expenses attending a funeral.

However, should pick them up in the next few days.

    Have a good night all

Kerri - that sounds horrible!! They did that to me once - made us run across hong kong airport with an escort to meet our connecting flight, only to land in london and find out our bags were on the next flight. I'd rather have waited and come on the same flight as our bags!

Tropical - ouch to the tooth!! Hope you are going to be able to enjoy your haggis?

SF - hope you're OK xx

Oh I've had an 'experience in HK too. We were transiting to Taipei and thought it odd a LHR they didn't check our bags all the way through, only to find at HK that our corporate travel agency had changed our LHR - HK flight by a day (as we'd asked) but not our connecting flight (I'll never forget the girl at the Eva Air desk saying to my boss 'but your flight is tomorrow sir ). Got our flight brought forward ok, but had to go through immigration, collect our bags, run through to check-in, re-drop our bags, and go back through security clearance to catch our flight...and as you'll know, HK airport is not small  Ended up getting our connection in a big sweaty heap....the joys of air travel eh?

SF -big hugs, sorry you've had a carp day - hope tomorrow looks a little brighter for you xxx

Kerri - HK airport is huge!! That sounds horrendous!! The worst thing about our HK experience was that we were returning from a short backpacking trip round Vietnam, but I had a broken collarbone so my poor travelling companion had to sprint across the airport with a backpack on each arm! Poor boy, he wasn't the fittest lad either :o

  • Not a NSD today, spent £1.50 on food (no suprises here, it's always food!) I wish I could say that I'll make up for it tomorrow with a NSD but I don't think it's likely :( Oh well, onwards and upwards!
    Thank you competition posters!
