  • At the risk of something unexpected happening to spoil it, I am going to declare today a NSD, taking me to NSD#11:D

There is always the possibility that I will come crawling back to change this later, but fingers crossed :p

All being well, today makes it 12 glorious NSDs!!!!

Can I increase my target to 14 please, Spoonbabes?

This calls for a celebration so lets all mash our neeps, titivate our tatties and boogie on down at the NSD gang Burns Night ceilidh!

(No, Igor, the nice ladies do not want to play Hunt the Haggis with you. Get back in the kitchen, you've still got 2 more sacks of spuds to peel for tonight's feast. And let me remind you I have counted every single one of those bottles of whisky, and drawn a line on each one so no having a crafty swig and filling it up with water when you think I'm not looking. What d'ye mean you don't use water? Igor, I would rather not know, thank you....)

Hya all...declaring today as NSD number 15 :j:j Only 2 more to go...should do it before the weekend hopefully!

Got a few bits and pieces yeasterday, including veg. Had gammon on Sunday, so have lovely stock to make soup with! That will keep us going for a while :D.

Also wrote a cheque yesterday for DS's physio tomorrow...thus tomorrow should be an NSD too...at least that is the plan!

I've been invigilating this morning..."lovely" Year 11 kids who have all been excluded from their schools, so have ended up at the college. One lad gave me loads of verbal abuse when I tried to enforce the "no leaving before 30 minutes" rule, when he tried to leave after 14 minutes (of a 75 minute exam). One of his tutors was there and witnessed it, she reported him to her superior later. I let him go as he was already disturbing the other students...and it did look like he was going to get physical. What has become of the kids today that they can't wait patiently for 30 minutes to pass??!! It brought back memories of my playgroup days when the three-year olds wouldn't sit still either...but then they had more excuses!!

Right, off to get more knitting done...the stuffy exam room has made my sinusitis bad again so can't do any X-stitch :( Knitting's OK though, so long as it's not too complicated and I need to wear my glasses all the time! :rotfl:

One very happy little Katenut today, for 3 big reasons:

    1. I've got my 16th NSD today, meeting my target - woohoo!!! Can I increase my target to 19 please Spoon? xx

    2. I got my assignment feedback for my first big assignment today and I got 75% - a distinction!!! So excited, I've been grinning like an idiot all day :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    3. DH has finally got his late fathers estate sorted (note to self - make a will! What a load of hassle, its taken 11 months to sort) and he has now got a nice sum of money coming his way, and a car!! DH says he wants to clear some of our debts with the money, and book us an holiday - is it a bit sad that I'm more excited about paying off the debts than going on holiday?! And he wants me to keep the car - for the first time in my life I won't be driving an old banger!! :j:j:j

Right, someone tell me what is drunk on Burns Night as I feel like celebrating!
