thank you so much
. I had said to myself that I wanted to keep the weighloss quiet this time. My dance teacher noticed and asks me about it every other week as she says she can tell Im loosing more. But others dont really seem to have noticed. But I cant help telling people hahaha
Off to a wedding this saturday and I was worried it would ruin my sunday weigh but now found out that although we are going to the ceremony and then straight to reception there is no meal, just a buffet... which Im glad about! The ceremony isnt till 3.30pm so it means I can have a good lunch before I go. I couldnt have controlled what I had if there was a meal but at least with a buffet I am in control.... except I love buffets and can loose control with them!!!! So...
any tips on what to do when looking at a yummy buffet?
If it was a normal party I would eat my tea before going so I wasnt hungry but as we are are there from 3ish, I probably wont have eaten since my lunch at 12-1ish so will be starving come 9pmish when its buffet time! And we all know we never make 'good' choices when our belly is louder than our brain hahaha0 -
Morning Giggles
Lucky you off to a wedding ehAny chance of a wi on saturday before wedding - desperate times call for desperate measures I think then you could relax a little at the do and then you have a week to undo any damage :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I suppose at the buffet you can alway trying interspacing naughty bits with good bits - one good - one not so good. Hope you have any lovely day but for goodness sake don't let the food ruin the day - I think you might be too sensible for that away
You do get a bit of a glow when someone mentions how good you are looking with your weightloss - I can almost feel my chest puffing out at the thought of it - providing it doesn't go out too far thats ok :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Nearly had a sneaky peep this morning on the scales - then I realised I'd just got out of the shower and my hair was dripping wet - certaininly that would have made me heavier - what do you think?
Enjoy your day.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
Well here we go again
Weight 13/7/11 - 15st 2.5lbs
Weight 20/7/11 - 15st 1.0lbs
This weeks loss - -1.5lbs
Total loss since June 2010 - 7st 5lbs
Pleased with that. Have tried really hard with the nibbles (cutting down on them that is) and have had the extra exercise session. Considering getting a full membership with the leisure centre as it would work out cheaper now that we have added another class (now doing 3 a week). But once I sign for the monthly dd - will I loose the plot and feel more compelled to go cos I've paid for it and somehow loose the enjoyment if it becomes more of a chore. Leisure centre having a major refit and reopens in a couple of weeks and there is going to be a special offer on of two free months
Hope you are all sticking with it and good luck with your weigh ins
Hope the weather improves for the wedding on Saturday Giggles - hope you have a lovely day anyway.
Come on you 14's :jSPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -

 Welcome back ilovepugs - well done on your swimming - I've been told that if I take out an annual membership with leisure centre I can have 'free swims' - don't think the world is ready for me in a swimsuit just yet - let alone me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Good luck with your Monday wi
I've not been too bad this week so far but I'm feeling a bit grotty with a cold and sore throat but it will pass - hope to visit gym in the morning and got plenty of jobs around the house today.
Hope you enjoy the wedding Giggles and that you all have a lovely day.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
Thanks BLue-eyed. I did consider going to a meeting this morn but I spent 3 hours making cupcakes for my bros gf for her bday gift (shes having a party tonight) and had to deliver them as well as get ready for the wedding (Im sooooooo slow at getting ready!) so couldnt fit it in! I did hop on my wiifit though and that said I was same weight as I weighed in at WWs last week and its usually about 1lb more than the WWs scale so hoping that means I have lost something.
I like the 'good food, bad food' theory for the buffet I think I wil try that! To be honest Im quite a simple girl when it comes to buffet, plus being diagnosed as lactose intolerant means that all the yummy cream pastas, pizzas covered in cheese etc are out of bounds, so a couple of egg mayo or ham sandwiches, couple of cocktail sausage rolls and a handful of crisps is usually me done! haha The thing I am worried about is how hungry I will be by then, and when Im hungry its like I put rose tinted glasses on haha
Oh blue_eyed wet hair DEFINATELY makes u heavier! woohoo well done on your weight loss. Those 14s are sooooooooo close woohoo!
I lovepugs: glad you had a great holiday. Swimming is such a great exercise as well as enjoyable hobby! If you can keep that up I think you will definately feel the benefit. When I was at college I started doing the dawn swim 3 times a week when I was on study leave and had exams. It really helped focus my mind, think things over, destress and improve my fitness too!

Congratulations!!!!
My computer died on me and it's taken weeks to get it sorted. Long story but basically a virus ate it and my OH had to restore it  But I'm back!!!! Talk about withdrawal symptoms - missed you all.
Now to weight loss - I read a book about speeding up your metabolism, nothing airy fairy just common sense. Eating properly but with a bit of food group combining, drinking lots of water, exercising and getting a decent nights sleep. I tried it for a couple of weeks before taking a weeks holiday and felt great, lost some weight and felt lighter IYKWIM then destroyed all my good work on holiday by eating rubbish! Oh well here we go again :rotfl:0 -
Its that time of the week for me again - doesn't time fly ...........
Weight 20/7/11 - 15st 1.0lbs
Weight 27/7/11 - 15st 0.0lbs
This weeks loss - -1.0lbs
Total loss since June 2010 - 7st 6lbs
I know the 14s are just around the corner and if I'm a good girl this week I might make it next week. Have had a bit of a rough week with a horrible cold and I promise I didn't follow the saying about feeding a cold .......In fact I can't even remember having any little choccy treats - must have really been off colour. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Welcome back Pep - sorry to hear that your computer has been a little unwell - it has my sympathies.:p I think I have heard something about food combining before but have never really studied it. Hope you enjoyed your hols and don't worry you will be back on track in no time - will you be doing the food combining thing again?
Have booked a free session in at leisure centre on Monday as it has been having a major refit and I have been using another one and they said that I can have a free session in the fitness suite before I take out my membership - was going to sgn up anyway without a free session and then I thought of :money::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Will let know how I manage with all the posh equipment - it looks a bit too technical for an oldie like me.
Hope you are all okSPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
