Happy New Year everyone. This sounds a great idea for me so please count me in. The only times I have been able to lose weight was going to Weightwatchers but I have a long commute now so can't make a class. I'm struggling in size 14s (can't afford to go up a size) and would like to get back down to a size 12 - though should really be a 10 at 5ft 1 but these days are long gone .... Don't have a Wii but may weigh myself at Boots - probably more accurate than the bathroom scales!

Mum2one can you put me down for a mini target of 7lbs for January please and I will update this every month. I find I lose weight quite slowly and am really aiming for 1lb a week so potentially 35 weeks to target weight .

Its great to see so many of us on board the same boat! Feel free to pm me if I start slacking lol

Healthy eating day 5 still going good :)

Jena - do you have quidco?

You can sign up for WW online and it cost £29.85 or something, but the best bit is you get £30 cashback. It's a great alternative it you can't get to a meeting.

Thanks elysia, just shows, signing up here has made a difference already. Hope it has that effect for everyone. I noticed you also did some excercise like you planned.

Thankyou elysia x I looked at the Quidco for ww the other day and I think the offer is for £15 until march just check before you sign up. I did think about going that way myself but all my ww stuff is for the normal points so will just stick to weighing myself and keeping track of my points in a note pad.

Count me in as well, we've had the (not technically) in-laws with us for the last five weeks while they look for somewhere to rent and I've put on about 6lbs. I had been losing about 2lbs a week until they arrived. They keep buying loads of food and cakes and biscuits and other bits. It's got to stop, I only just fit in my jeans now and I'm not buying new clothes (can't afford to anyway).

I'm aiming to lose at least that 6lb by the end of January, preferably 8lb. I've got a wedding to go to at the end of February, so would love to be down a stone by then. I then have a wedding in June so would like to be down a few more stone then. Ideally, I'd like to be down to around 12 stone by then. I'm not sure what I weigh at the moment, but it's around the 15 stone mark (I'm 5'8"). I will weigh myself at work on Tuesday and report back.

Anglea - well done on your willpower, this group is working already!

Elysia - well done for doing your 1/2 hour of exercise, we're proud of you :D. Has your dog calmed down yet?

Mrsow - that's fantastic that you've lost so much weight already! I'm sure you'll reach your goal.

Well, I went out for a walk with DH and DS but I can't really class it as much exercise. DS walks so slowly (he's only 3) that I felt like I was barely moving for a lot of it! I'm going to set the Wii up tonight (we moved 2 months ago and I still haven't unpacked it :o) and do my 1/2 hour of exercise - Elysia is my inspiration!
