It's still asking me for a username & password, do we know how to get round that yet?

Where did you go for your hen party? Hope you had a fab time xxx

Random - it doesn't ask me for a password. Have you tried using a different browser? I'm using firefox and it seems fine.

Stayed in a premier travel lodge, mum & sister had arranged for a mobile beautican to come into one of the rooms for all of us, and we all had different treatments. Worked well, meant we could chill out in the rooms gossiping in between! Then in the evening had a limo drive us round and lots of champagne! Then a meal, in a harvester, not been in one of them before, and the food was gorgeous, just the sort of thing we all like. Was probably one of the quietest hen do's ever - but for me, it was perfect :D

  • Hi,

I have the Crushed Rose in my tester kit (so whilst it's not a great help, it's a start!). Looks like Avon have replaced that range of lippy with their Pro Colour & Gloss Lip Duo. The Blossom (item no. 22426) looks pretty similar in the book but sorry, I've no personal experience.

I tend to use that sort of colour lippy too and my absolute fave range at the moment (also now being discontinued...) are the Ultra Colour Rich Cool Bliss lipsticks. They have peppermint crystals so make your lips tingle slightly but they taste lovely. They're in the C14 clearance book p15 @ £3.50 each. I tend to wear the Violet Ice (patted down with a tissue as it's a bit on the dark side), then Pink Freeze on top (mainly on the bottom lip as it's lighter so makes your lips look fuller), finished off with the Vanilla Lip Balm 'Diamond' shade to both upper and lower lips. (The lip balm means you don't leave lots of lippy on glasses/cups too.) All three together, believe it or not, are actually pretty close to the Crushed Rose you're looking for. :T Yes, know it sounds like a right cocktail but see they're also offering Frozen Berry, which may be OK on it's own. Why not suggest your friend orders all three and then she can mix 'n match to get the exact shade she likes.

    Hope that helps.

PS: Just found a Frozen Berry in my stock and it's nothing like - that's more peachy than pink. Have also just realised what a solid colour the Crushed Rose is but all the Cool Bliss ones are more transparent. Depends whether your friend applies it heavily or just lightly because the shade really changes. If she wants a more 'full on' colour, suggest she tries the Mega Impact range.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. Yes, it was the Ultra Colour Rich Mousse lippy. Have even checked the Avon USA site and not there either.
Think I'll try the Rich Moisture range, as it was the moisturising effect she particularly liked.

You're v welcome; make sure your friend knows about Avon's 90 day no quibble guarantee i.e. so she can order 'a few', try them out and then return what she doesn't like. :T

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Arrggghhh! I'm not sure what is more frustrating, the returns that you send back being recharged, and not corrected despite avon admitting receiving them OR the bloody useless call centre that doesn't understand a word you say. I mean, seriously, 3 goes to get him to put my account number in correctly  Can't think why I may have doubts that he has given me correct information
If my order gets held, there WILL be ructions. Surely they can manage to sort it out in the space of over a month!
Annnnd breathe! Morning vent over. Sorting my C13 orders for submission tomorrow. Everyone else doing/ done well with C13?
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???
  • My C13's pretty poor, got a few regulars on holidays though.

Have you tried emailing them, think the email department is based in England somewhere, not sure though but they always seem to understand better than the call centre.

Have you tried ebay? (obviosuly once you've exhausted buying it from Avon).
I think there is some on there albeit in the US.

Had done the email thing twice! lol But balance still not adjusted and order due tomorrow. If they hold the order, then I will go mad!
