  • Hi everyone, I have a customer who contacted me today saying that her Black Toning flip flops have broken, I am assuming that the toepost has broken as I had this with another customer.
They were ordered in C8 out of the C7 book.....does anyone know where she stands with this......has she missed a deadline or would they class it as wear and tear ?
I have contacted customer services via email but thought I would try here too

Pretty sure you should be OK; go to Credits and input the product description. If they appear there then just apply for credit using the code for 'Faulty product'. Means you lose out on your commission as you'll have to reimburse your customer with the price they paid and, of course, you'll only be credited for the amount you paid but they're coming up again shortly for £12.99 so maybe you could encourage your customer to try a new pair then at the reduced price?

    Hi all :)

I have a customer who ordered the Oasis Silver Watch back in C9, one of the stones has fell out of it and she'd like a replacement but when I go online I can only get replacements for campaigns 11 & 12? but credits are available right the way back to C7? Does anyone know why? Thanks xx

You can only apply for replacements for your last two campaigns but credits are available for 90 days. Unfortunately means that you'll need to offer your customer a refund (and lose your commission). If, however, you point out that if she would like to buy the watch again it's actually £20 in C13 maybe she may decide to use a bit of superglue? :rotfl:

It was only £5 after all! (Know what choice I'd make.)

Think am definitely 'odd', I didn't like the original Herve Leger but love the Ete; didn't like the original Fergie but am hoping I will like the new one.

I quite liked Ete, but still prefer Femme. I got a much better reception at the door when doing sprays to Ete than I did to Reese Witherspoon's latest ones. The reason code for the return was more trying to find a truthful reason to return it - tbh I find the scented pages are always a little inaccurate. I thought RW Laugh (yellow one) smelt lovely on the page but in person... citrus toilet cleaner I'm afraid :o

After the RW MM I did I decided not to bother in future, then changed my mind with Ete, then thought "what's the harm?" so I'm buying in the minimum amount every time. I've taken Far Away out to demo and sold a 30ml bottle as a result. The 3D hair rescue things are just sitting at home, though, because it's not something I'd use on myself. I prefer to order the MMs on backorder. This means they get charged 1 campaign later, not 2, but I forgot to do this with Far Away and it meant people had to wait a while to be able to order that specific product. If I get the MMs on backorder I can let people try it, then give them the next book where they can order it from. Then I hang onto the MMs for 5 campaigns to see if they sell.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

In the UK consumers have legal (statutory) rights regardless of what any company says.
That's fairly recent (a few months) so after that length of time I would not consider it to be wear and tear.
The correct phrases are "not fit for purpose" under the Sales of Goods act.
Hopefully Avon are pretty good, but even if I wore flip flops every day I would expect them to last more than a few months.
I love mine and I wear them all the time because they are sooooo comfortable.
  • Nice one; didn't know what a Nectar blog was but have now clicked on it. Good luck!

Thanks maybe I should have put a back story lol

We are one of 8 finalists in the Nectar Savvy Family blog competition. We have to write a money saving blog until the end of August and will be judged on how many hits, what comments and the content of each blog.

Thanks MC I thought maybe they would say ooooh no she's had them far too long. do you know which campaign they are coming up in for £12.99 ? I would like another pair for myself :T

Welcome, Elfridi, and thanks for finally posting. Seems scarey when you first start, eh? I used to help manage a forum and our biggest discussion point was how to encourage new members to post because they were wary of what reaction they'd get to whatever they posted. Glad to say, we're a lovely lot on here and it's also one of the first places I log onto every day (when I'm around) too. Used to be a really busy thread - no ideas what happened; I miss the old contributors too but see we have lots of newbies. :T

It's surprising how quickly you go from thinking you know nothing to helping others so look forward to reading lots more posts from you now you've dipped your toe in the water!

Thank you for the welcome MC. Yes, it's very scary lol, but I have to agree that you're a lovely bunch.
I'm looking forward to joining in more now :j

The reason I ask is that a friend had a pair of shoes from Peacocks and they fell apart after about a month and they said it was just usual wear and tear ! So wouldn't give her the money back
