I do not have a contact number for her, to be fair my SL is great and helped with the trainee SL issue but feel should not have to keep bugging her about territory as I think it has to be sanctioned by ASM. Just starting to think ASM is a bit rude in not at least acknowledging my emails or am I just being old fashioned? I can think of no reason why I should not be offered more territory if available as I have achieved the HOV and more in every campaign so far and would have thought this would have been quite a consistent earner for them as my SL and ASM
Yes, some ASMs are very difficult to get hold of, sometimes because of their workload other times because they're not really 'operating efficiently'..... In your case I'd find out who your DSM is (ask your upliner) and then email your ASM again but copy in your DSM. Tends to work!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Just order both and return the ones you don't want. Problem solved
That was my first thought, MM, but this is about the free ones so means doubling up on qualifying product spend and returning those too so a 'bit more hassle'.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Good luck though and let us know how you get on. (Sorry, can't help re. the nappy cake; only one I've ever seen was on Sex and the City and that was a while ago!)
I wasn't going to do shower gel, was thinking of the SSS body wash etc. Sorry, should have explained better.Could do a mixed bag so to speak - small bottle of each of shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath and a moisturiser or something... Hmmm Definitely going to try it out and see!Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

You might need to think about issues of liability - once you start decanting products into other containers, there is always a slight possibility of contamination. If a customer had an allergic reaction, who would take responsibility - Avon? Poundland? You as Avon Rep?
Also, as a customer I just feel very squicky about unsealed products (I'm afraid I was revolted by the tea bag poem idea that has been used by some reps - I'd be horrified at the thought of using a tea bag that wasn't fresh from my own packet!).

I liked the teabag idea but if I ever did it, I would have to buy the individually packed sachet teas, so no-one would question where they had come from.Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:0 -

I understand your opinion, but I'm not sure I fully agree. Lots of places, including major supermarkets, decant things for people to try as samples and have them set out in little cartons or cups. On top of which, many products aren't 'sealed' as such, and could have been opened before a rep receives them so where would liability stand then? I recommend skin tests when trying new products for my customers, and I think they have enough faith in me to know that they won't have to worry. Will have to see what my customers think.
I think saying 'revolted' is a little harsh towards the people who have mentioned the tea bag poem, you don't know if it was an individual tea bag in an envelope that they meant. I understand you may choose not to use one, but that just seemed a little hard on them. After all they are doing it with good intentions.
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
Hi
I am totally fed up with being employed so am now self employed mystery shopper but this wage is not bringing in enough so recently applied to betterware and have somebody coming out on Monday and combining it with Avon so have somebody from Avon coming tomorrow to sign me up.
but I have a couple of questions
1) is anybody else doing Avon and betterware
2)is Avon a full time job
3)if I wanted 100 book each campaign how much would this cost me.
4) can you claim for the books and bags against taxable income."It is your decisions, and not your conditions, that determine your destiny".0 -

Good luck; anything's worth a try. I do have some customers I allow to try Avon products and then either pay me or return them in a few days i.e. before my invoice is due for payment. Suppose your scheme would be a 'half way measure' i.e. to people you know well so trust you and equally you are doing them a service. Time will tell whether it's worth your effort and the costs involved but 'nothing ventured, nothing gained'.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

See your point but am guessing this would only be to people well known to the rep anyway i.e. rather than generally. I did something similar recently - posted some Dead Sea Minerals Body Butter to someone with skin allergies. (In my case I just scooped out from the bottom, i.e. underneath the top layer, of my own kiln jar and put it in an Avon book bag!) Guess that was slightly different in that I sent it FOC but I've never met the lady in question and she was well chuffed I'd gone to the trouble. Even better, she loved the product so that's another 'convert' to Avon! :T
As for the Tea Bag verse, have no first hand knowledge as I've never done it but I've always assumed it would be an individually wrapped one....... but who knows? :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I have actually done all three - not together though but can see how it would work. To answer your queries:
1) I did Avon and Betterware together for 6 months; there were advantages but I preferred Avon so I dropped Betterware as it seemed 'donkey work' compared to building up your own trusted customer base with Avon
2) Avon can be a full-time job but it takes quite a while before it will give you a satisfactory full-time income - 2 options: Presidents Club or Sales Leadership (not impossible to do both but difficult)
3) 100 Avon books, 20 packs, will cost you £13.36 as a rep/SL or £11.60 as a PC member (Betterware books are totally free)
4) When I spoke to the Tax Office recently they did mention that books, bags, demo products, fuel, etc. were all tax-deductible.
Hope that helps.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
