Like customers, think good reps come in 'waves' too i.e. a few good ones and then the ones that fall by the wayside for no apparent reason. Some SL's have a policy of signing up 'anything with a pulse' - maybe now is the time for you to be more choosy and only recruit people you are convinced will stay. Of course, it's not easy to tell.

Maybe a break would do you good too?

Yeah I think I need a break and start again in the new year. I've still got lots of books and packs in so I think anyone who contacts me I'll sign, but I'm not going to do much recruiting. Weddings coming round quick, having lots of problems with the venue, then were away, then it'll be October so then I'd be risking signing people who will just be wanting Xmas for free on Avon (Ie go to debt). Think a break will do me good, start again fresh in the new year. I could do with not having a break cos of paying for the rest of the wedding and then saving to change my car, but still,'if the reps aren't staying anyway it won't earn me much and I need to stay sane lol!

Good luck with your wedding plans and, yes, certainly don't let your Avon probs overshadow what hopefully will be one of the best days of your life!

Be careful not to drop off the system totally though by taking too long a break. Would be a good idea to let your ASM know of your intentions i.e. so hopefully they will still send you any good leads through that come their way. With the online appointing system now it's easier to gauge the good credit risks from the bad.

    Morning Ladies.

I was wondering if anyone could help me, As i seem to be having quiet a few issues with Avon since joining.!

C11 was rubbish for me, I assumed most of my regular customers had not ordered / Or kept books & binned, Which I did find a little strange, But, Worked with the theory that they just didn’t want to order this time.

It was only until this Monday, When I was getting calls/ texts & 1 email, That I knew there was a issue.

Most of my regulars have indeed ordered & was asking me, Why I had left call back cards or when is their order is due??

Thinking there must be some missed communication somewhere, I asked if I could meet with the one’s who’s orders was missing! In total I should have made £105 worth of orders in C11.

Anyway roll on, a few weeks, By this time, I had already put out C12’s, To the regulars!

Not knowing there was a issue at the time my regulars have done what they have always done, And left their orders out! AGAIN I HAVEN’T RECEIVED THEM!

I collected in C12, Again it was the same situation. No books left outside.

Contacting all my regulars it seems this time, I should have made £77 worth of orders, But instead I have £20. This was because both of these orders looked like someone had looked at the books & kept the order forms. So they must have been missed.

So, I have lost orders, customers & income!

I contacted my SL and she told me to get back to all my customers & ask them if they wanted to order from me there & then, So I got them back, But many have said no because their worried that 2 reps will come with 2 lots of orders they cant pay for. Plus many don’t want the hassle.

I have asked all my customers if any of them have a telephone number for this other rep, All have said no because she has never put books through their doors.

So I stuck between a rock & a hard place! Because I’m already £33 down in C11 & its looking more like £20 or so down in C12. Money I just cant afford to be loosing right now! Does anyone know what I can do.??

That really is awful behaviour from the other rep, when I first started Avon I was given a street where another rep had been before and she had 'cherry picked' the best customers from the street before dropping the street, many a time I'd go to collect my books and see hers on some doorsteps, but I would never even dream of doing that. If I where the customer and had another rep 'stealing' my order I would end up thinking it's not worth the hassle of ordering and end up on line or simply not bothering to order. Sorry, I'm ranting now ...
Haven't any advice other than contact you're SL about it, if that doesn't get you anywhere try the ASM, do any of your customer even know the name of the other rep?

Hi, New beginnings. Thank you for replying.

I have spoken to my SL. My Sl is the only one who had the roads I now have, Before her was a man back in 2003.

I have asked the customers, None of them seem to know, Other then one woman who said she received a book a few weeks ago from someone called Nicola who is advertising that she is the new rep for the area. But there was no telephone number or email address.

My Sl told me to carry on as normal, But, In fairness I really don’t know if I can. As I said, I started Avon, To make some extra cash - Not loose what little money we’re currently living on.

Found out, The ASM has been signed off all working duties because she has just been diagnosed with cancer. My SL at the moment only seem interested in taking her place & getting all the extra territory with the regular customers (SL said this to me just last night!)

So, I’m more confused now & all the while I’m loosing all my regulars slowly 1 after another!

Hmm... So you only have a name 'Nicola' to go on:

    1. Email your ASM/upliner to complain (copy in the DSM if you get no joy) and ask for Nicola's contact details.
    2. Canvass all your regulars to see if they have any contact details for Nicola and/or if they're willing to help you i.e. get her details as/when she tries to deliver (your) orders.
    3. Ask all the other Avon reps/SLs you know locally to see if they've heard of a Nicola

Generally, customers are very protective of their regular Avon lady so you should be able to find someone willing to help.

Whenever my orders have been collected in error by another rep in the past that rep has always contacted me. Equally, my customers have repeated their orders to me and told me they wouldn't accept the order from the other rep. In my case it has always been an innocent mistake but on the face of it from what you say it looks like this may be intentional so good luck getting it resolved.

Thanks mc but I'll be continuing as a rep still so it'll be fine not recruiting much, i know other sl have taken a break due to various reasons, so long as my orders are big enough I'll still be paid on any team orders which is fine for the moment.

Just got an email from Avon stating £11.70 oustanding on my account (the same amount of credits I will be sending back next Thurs & have done credit form for).
When I've logged on, balance is £0.00 on front page.
    Am I safe to ignore?
    Thanks
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

Thanks Missminx and MC for responses to 'dementia' customer. They were very helpful. Always good to get another perspective..

    Brochure 12 Alert
    Page 95 - 3 for £10 Suncreams.
Please note the small print at the bottom of the page, as 2 of these are NOT included in the offer. I was about to get caught out as were several other on the Avon Connects Discussion Group which is where I was alerted to this.

Looks like everything is fine - takes the website a while to catch up - but to be on the safe side, whenever that happens to me I just reply to the email advising that the amount o/s is covered by returns.
