He actually lives about 20 miles away but his partner is an Avon rep so he's been offering Avon via all the Betterware books he's been putting out. Deffo NOT helpful seeing as he gets all his B books free and their modus operandi is to cover entire streets/drop 3/400+ books a week minimum! Been going on since March and I keep complaining; gather IF something like this keeps happening then the rep in question can have their Avon a/c withdrawn but that's obviously a last step (and very hard to get the ASM to close an account if they're doing a lot of sales even if they are contravening Avon's T&C's).
I thought Avon reps weren't allowed to work another company, or is that just if it's another cosmetics company? Or are they getting round it because he's not the actual Rep? Either way it's not right.0 -

All Avon reps are self-employed so there's no restriction about not working for another company at all.
The problem in this case is that it's his name on the Betterware Books/order forms; he's not a rep (his partner is) and reps are not allowed to canvass streets not officially allocated to them as territory. In this case, since March this year every single house in my town has probably received a Betterware book highlighting that they can supply Avon too. (One of my customers even told me how nice he is so she ordered some Avon from him! Bless! ) The actual rep in this case does not even live in our Avon Area so I've complained - (four times so far) - to two ASM's and their DSMs! (I've even complained to the Betterware rep's ASM too and threatened to collect in all the books I can find and personally dump them in the river! :rotfl:)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Was back when I had only just started. A rep from out of the area, but connected to the school sent out flyers to all my territory, saying they were an Avon School  and to buy from them to boost fund raising. Oddly, I didn't get a flyer.......Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

Out of stock - Do Not re-order.
If it's the ANew Clinical Beauty Packs (the one with the lip volumiser in) then I have a couple of spares. (Even with postage it's got to be a bargain.) Email/PM me if you'd like them.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Ah, I see. Why not turn the tables and offer them 10% commission for their funds if they get some orders for you? Just a thought.
Also works well if you have a customer, who doesn't want to be a rep but likes to earn a 'bit extra'. Some people don't want the hassle of running an a/c but have loads of F&F and are happy to help you for 10%Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I went with my daughter and her friend on Monday afternoon to collect the 100 brochures we delivered on Saturday.
1 order out of the lot of them for £27.50
37 "please do not put one through again" including one very rude woman who said " what on earth have you pushed it through for if you want it back !" " don't do it again" and slammed the door very hard in my face !!
35 weren't in and hadn't put the brochure outside
27 who hadn't ticked " please do not put one through again"
Feel a little deflated but will have to carry on as my ASM is on my back0 -

I have a friend doing this very thingGreat minds think alike! The school knew is was a rep when they started up as I was meant to be doing a table in their Xmas Fair. Good job I found out before I got all the stock in! I have a loyalty scheme for my customers, and it seems to be enough as several parents are now customers. Will have to find out what is happening.

MarsdenCuckoo wrote: »Don't worry, every new level of Avon is a learning curve. SL's are able to request territory for new reps we sign up but we're not allowed just to search for free territory. (Per your earlier post, that's why you were locked out for 5 days.) SLs have a small window of opportunity to apply for territory, which is then reserved for that rep pending the outcome of Avon's credit check. Once they pass the credit check, you will get an alert on your SMA to advise that the territory is being offered to your rep and you then need to confirm/update. ASMs can only reserve what is free/unreserved and area goes by postcode (can mean one side of the street is allocated to one rep and the other side of the street to another!)
Hope that helps.
Thanks for that.:)M May11 55886.810 -

Got it wrong, it's the other pack my customer wanted, 'Ultimate beauty treats' (don't suppose you've got any spare of those?), Just been looking at the other pack though and that was a bargain. Thanks for the offer though.
