You're welcome. Presidents Club membership automatically follows when you achieve a minimum of £6,500 worth of sales (Jan - Dec). There are various levels when you exceed those sales and all newbies have the opportunity of Associate membership in their first 18 campaigns from when they start.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I understand your opinion, but I'm not sure I fully agree. Lots of places, including major supermarkets, decant things for people to try as samples and have them set out in little cartons or cups. On top of which, many products aren't 'sealed' as such, and could have been opened before a rep receives them so where would liability stand then? I recommend skin tests when trying new products for my customers, and I think they have enough faith in me to know that they won't have to worry. Will have to see what my customers think.
I think saying 'revolted' is a little harsh towards the people who have mentioned the tea bag poem, you don't know if it was an individual tea bag in an envelope that they meant. I understand you may choose not to use one, but that just seemed a little hard on them. After all they are doing it with good intentions.
I am just a random person on the internet, I don't expect you to agree with me, I was just giving an opinion. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter at all what either you or I think - what matters is what the law says and where you might stand if a customer brings a complaint against an Avon product that they were sold in unsealed packaging - just think it might be worth checking out, that's all.0 -

Thanks and good advice re. the law i.e. it could be complicated to resolve any issues.
Got to admit though I don't agree with some of your comments. FYI on this thread we see ourselves more as 'a family' helping each other rather than your description i.e. 'a random person on the internet' and 'it doesn't matter what either you or I think'. Pretty sure it does matter to us on this thread what we all think (and long may that continue -we're not currently on our 7th thread for nothing!) :TMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Am feeling quite chuffed with myself as i am on 2nd campaign and have met higher targets on both. Need to send order off today but waiting on just 1 book not yet returned - lady ordered some things last time so wanted to give her chance to put book out just incase. Started out so slowly this time but got £90+ orders monday which took me over target - lets just say i am a happy bunny.
Lets hope it stays like this so i can get those debts paid off!Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

If you check out my posting history, I am a long time member and very much see this as a community where we help each other out.
For clarification, what I meant earlier was that, in the eyes of the law, and in the context of a business, what any of us thinks is irrelevant when it comes to protecting us from the consequences of potential litigation. I made my original post because I was trying to help....
FWIW, I am a long time Avon customer and I think very highly of our Avon lady, right down to exchanging Christmas presents and making arrangements to collect from her if she is unwell, but from the stories she tells us, she does get let down occasionally by customers who take the p***.
In a very shaky economic context, and in a world where daytime tv is littered with adverts asking "have you been injured when it was not your fault?", it is not beyond the realms of possibility that someone might pursue a case against Avon from time to time. And if it turns out that they had been sold product that had been 'tampered with', it could become unpleasant for the rep concerned.0 -

Well done :T Keep up the good work. Some reps in our area are really struggling with sales so 'customer service' is becoming all-important.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi. I have been a lurker on here for a couple of weeks reading through the posts and after asking friends and family if they would be interested in seeing a catalogue have finally decided to join Avon as a rep. However, I noticed some of you mention that it is better to contact a SL directly that apply by the website. I live in Farnworth near Bolton so are there any SL's on here from that area who would want to sign me up?
I work in the local area and am mainly interested in selling to friends and family and customers where I work. I would be interested in canvassing the area round where I live but not too far as I do not have a car and need to fit it in round my current job.
If someone could contact me that would be great.
Thanks
