Hello everyone, hope you are all well. I seem to be doomed with Avon!
Recieved my C10 order which was well over HOV (as was C9) and I have not received my superstarter gifts! Also they sent me more order forms than I asked for, so I have had to pay for them. Ok so it's only 15p but still, the website nearly made a bigger mess up when I went back through the order and noticed it was going to send me 10 packs of books! luckily I noticed!
But they have sent me a returns book, AT LAST, was I meant to ask for this?Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Oh dear I have a big red cross next to the Anew Wrinkle Zone Line Smoothing Duo Deep, which 3 of my customers have ordered:(
I had the same problem, and it was a new customer as well and the whole reason she was placing an order!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Ah don't worry. The new site has brought it's own little foibles with it. Just return the formsAt least you got the right books, several people have had the wrong books
With the superstarter gifts, have you done any returns? If so, they deduct these from your sales. I think this is way out of order as you have made the sales, which is all they say you need to do. If you complain to your SL, don't mention any returns, just say you didn't get it; you may well find they send something as a gwg.Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

I'm sure I posted this yesterday but I can't see it - apologies if it is a double post.
I've been a rep for a few campaigns now and making decent money, I was wondering if anyone could advise pros/cons of SL? I understand what you have to do but does it really boost your profits? How does it work?My Debt Free Diary

I had the wrong books last time:mad:
I did wonder if it would have anything to do with returns, and it is way out of order that they do this cos that should still count!
I haven't compared last camps totals as yet but even with the returns I made they are over HOV.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

Hi I am a trainee SL and started two campaigns ago. I didn't realise when I signed up how difficult it would be to find people who wanted to be Reps. I expected people to join up and then change their mind, but I have struggled just to get people to sign up.
I currently have 3 Reps. I have put an advert in Sainsbury’s, 2 co-ops, 2 paper shops and a hairdressers and have had no response. I have been to town asking random people if they were interested, I got 2 people who were interested. However they both gave me the run around, one wasn't in when we arranged to meet.
I have been knocking on doors twice. The first time no one was interested what so ever. The second time I got one person who said yes, however they are apparently on holiday and I have yet to sign them up.
When I was out with my SL she had a lady who said she was interested, but needed to put the dog away. When we went back she had left a note on the door saying she had to leave in an emergency. We didn’t see her go round the back to the car park and we didn’t see any cars leaving, so she was clearly in! She never answered the phone again.
The only way I have had response is through my SL placing an advert in the local newspaper. However I cannot do this as apparently there is a rota between higher SL and when it gets to my up liners turn if she gets anything it has to be shared now between all the SL under her.
I have had 3 people from the newspaper, as my SL gave me them all to start with to get things going. One of them we signed up and she changed her mind and gave the orders to another Rep. My third Rep is an old school friend I bumped into on the street.
To be a SL you need to make £148 in sales yourself and £888 group sales. You need to have 5 Reps and 5 minimum qualifying orders. On the sheet I have been given it says....
Minimum order size to earn:
First Generation £30 2%commision
£148 4%comission
£350 5% commission
Second Generation £78 2% commission
There seems to be 4 levels of sales leadership and the higher you get the more commission you earn.
Until you get your 5 Reps you will not earn anything other than any bonuses you manage to get. For example if you can get to the SL level in 3 campaigns after being signed up you will get £50. I have sent the form off to become a SL and paid £25, which you get a kit for, I haven’t got it yet so can’t give much info on that.
I have so far visited each Rep to sign them up and then again to show them how to put the orders in. Next week I will see them again to show them how to pay. I think if there’s enough time you should see each Rep between singing them up and putting the order in to do a progress review. I have phoned my Reps lots though to arrange times to meet, remind them again and also to sort out issues. My SL has been supportive and she is always calling/texting day and night which is lovely, but can make things stressful. Also there are meetings that you can go to both local and further away.
When you first start if you want to start earning and get your bonuses you will want to get your 5 Reps ASAP. If you get a few Reps to sign up in one campaign it can be a lot of work meeting all of them and going through the same information and making sure they are ok, as well as still trying to find more Reps. If your SL is nice and helpful like mine she will come with you and this will mean trying to arrange a time to meet between them. you and the new Rep, so it is helpful if you have lots of spare time.
Sorry for the long post, I hope some of it is useful. It would also be good to hear from someone who has been a SL for a while to get their thoughts.M May11 55886.810 -
Just to add to the wonderf post above - being a sl can be great, you'll meet some lovely people and it's nice feeling helping others plus of course the extra cash is nice. I've been a sl for 2 years now, and it is still difficult to get people to join, this year all sl seem to be finding it hard especially. You'll get time wasters, those that make an appointment but then aren't in, those that join then change their mind but find it impossible to say so, and those that order and go to debt. It's possible to make it work even with limited
Time though, it just takes longer. How much you earn depends on how many reps you have and how big their orders are. If you're willing to stick with it, and willing to not earn anything for a bit from it as you build your team
Then give it a go. It can be costly in books -'we have to guess how many people well sign and order books in advance, and if people don't order or order below £78,'you don't get your money back for the books you've given out. It's all about juding the cost and risk and what you can afford. I fit it around working full time,'and if I didn't enjoy it and find it worthwhile I wouldn't still be doing it!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Thank you for the very informative post Chazolate and for yours too Lozza1985. In my second camp my SL asked me if I was interested in being an SL and I asked on here and everyone reccomended I give it at least 6 months.
I'm glad I didn't because my SL hasn't been overly supportive and after I said I wasn't interested, she hung up on me when I called for advice and has ignored texts and emails so I have had to really get on and do myself. If it wasn't for the wonderful people on this thread I don't think I would have stuck it out.
If I ever do become a SL I will make sure I support my reps fully as I don't feel I was supported properly and my SL was more interested in working up the ranks instead of looking after her reps.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Hi everyone
Here are the links for Campaign 15:

C15 Sale http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/342/
I can't remember who asked, but the pink Antler bag is in the C15 sale brochure - £15:heart: I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?0
