This message is on the home page of the website (under "Latest" as "eSales update - Fix list":
Since the launch of the eSales suite we have been collating and investigating issues as they have been identified. We are now able to confirm that we have a 'website fix' scheduled for the last week in June which will resolve the following:- Returns form on the Representative website will be re-activated
- Temporary address will be available
There will be a further build to the website in September which will include both fixes and enhancements to further support you and your team members with your Avon business.
Yippee - return of the online returns forms!!
It also clarifies the situation with back ordering, and the fact that there are problems at the moment with using a Temporary Address.0 -
In my case, the vouchers I want come in a cheque book style. Leaving me the stub as a record. You sell the voucher at face value to your customer, with an expiry date on it. The customer then keeps it to save up / gives it to a friend / relative and presents them to you before the expiry date
your profit is in the actual avon sale, and in any vouchers that go unused
so where would you get the vouchers from ? I'm intrigued as I was thinking of doing a sort of savings club for Xmas but wouldn't want to be responsible for the lump sum cash0 -
I am getting them from a local printing company. I need to check out the prices and quantities, but I think as a long term investment, it is worthwhile. You will still be 'responsible for money' in that you will need to set it aside to pay for Avon later.
I feel it could earn new customers who could get given the voucher, and may well purchase again. I intend to put in the terms that they can exchange rather than refund, or be given credit against the voucher as you see on store gift vouchers.
Lastly, if people are interested in the concept please PM me if you would like to chat about it. This isn't a sales pitch! I am not trying to sell anyone gift vouchers. (I think other boards have made me paranoid about 'promoting' something) But I don't want to hijack the thread with pros and cons of this. We will only get moaned at for having another avon thread!( I find that odd... people see a thread entitled 'Avon........' and make a comment about there 'already being a thread', why read it unless you have an interest?????)Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
People do seem to recruit outside their area. However, you do need to meet with them to see their Identification etc to sign them up, and get their books and starter items to them. If they then change their mind, don't order etc those books etc and the cost of getting them there are lost to you.
If you read the 'proper' avon tips thread, you will see that a fair percentage of sign ups disappear without a word, costing the SL financially. If and when I go ahead, I will be very careful about travelling distance to recruit.
This is just my opinion, and as I said you will get more info from SLs on the thread.
Thanks for the reply
So in theory......I could today......sign up to be an Avon SL...... buy in a load of books/the tools in need & sign up anyone from anywhere & they could work anywhere???
Am I correct in what I've been led to beleive
Thanks again

Well no, they can't work 'anywhere', they have to either be assigned territory, or sell to friends and family (not door to door). If someone is trying to sign you up by giving you this information, then I would think very carefully before doing anything. As you know from the previous thread that you were on, you should have experience before attempting to become an SL. Apart from anything, you need to know how to make the most of your sales, and increase your profits as well as being able to assist your team. This will decrease the number of sign-ups you get who don't actually become active reps. You also need to be getting higher order value from your own sales. I think you need to sit down, and research this in greater detail before becoming a rep, then consider sales leadership. A good SL should not be encouraging to go into this blind so to speak. Avon is NOT a get rich quick scheme, even for SLs. It involves a lot of work and effort, and recruiting people is harder than it sounds.
I am not intending to discourage you, but it sounds like you need to check this out and start from the beginning.Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

Sorrymiss minx didn't think about that, I was just genuinely curious

Honest John - yes you can sign people up anywhere and they can be working anywhere. If the people you sign up would like to canvas streets they would need to have some allocated to them (so the "they can work anywhere" can't be taken too literally
).
Are you already working as an Avon rep? I'd recommend you get at least a few campaigns under your belt as a rep first so you can build up your sales (otherwise you won't benefit from your SL work) and teach your team from experience.
It would be reassuring to sign up under someone who has decided the opportunity is worth carrying on with, who you know isn't going to quit anytime soon. Not saying you would do that, but there are reps out there who start as a SL during their first few campaigns and find both sides of their business (repping and recruiting) a struggle to the point where they give up as a SL and possibly as a rep, too.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
