Keep all your receipts. Yes, free gifts are an expense, and so are demo products and samples. HMRC do free courses, so find out when there is one near you. They help you with everything. HTH

Anyone else finding C11 really tough....?

Haven't even got MOV and most my best customers have had books, but even looking through it myself there's not much I want and I am my best customer :o

If you were just doing 'friends & family' on a road & were asked by the territory rep which house numbers you were doing - would you tell them?

(I'm the territory rep in this example :o)

I would, then you wouldn't be bothering my customers, then I'd maybe mention in passing to my customers that another rep was canvassing the street, but they would still have me.

I thought it was going to be a bad one too but didn't turn out that way eventually. Quite often am demoralised by the lack of orders when I put my first lot of books out but somehow the orders 'grow' as the campaign progresses.

Just keep plugging on and make sure you do reach MOV if necessary by ordering some of the 99p/£1 items and then when you do your deliveries let people know you have started a £1 Bargain Box. Sometimes people don't order because they just can't be bothered to go right through the book so you offering them the good, cheapo items is appreciated.

Agree with NB and actually if the F&F rep refuses then involve your upliner. You are the only rep entitled to canvass/drop unsolicited books on your street. Of course, people move all the time and as long as Avon operate the territory and F&F rules there will be overlaps.

Makes sense to me for reps to work together rather against each other (appreciate that is not a view shared by all!) but if the F&F rep is not willing to let you know then just email your upliner and ask them to find out for you. If needs be the Area Manager can demand the information but if you were signed by a SL they may be able to help you resolve this amicably.

Good luck and let us know how you get on please.

I think the key is in the phrasing. Depending how you intend to make contact, I would probably say 'I have been allocated 'x' road, so wondered if you would mind letting me know which your customers are so that I can miss those houses out'... If you had a rep with a suspicious mature they may be concerned about your reasons for asking. If they are a good rep, they should have nothing to worry about ;) and see your point.

    Thanks.

It's with my upline again today. Short version is a rep stopped doing Avon, I was allocated the street. They have since started up & are still visiting all their old customers. Came to light a few weeks ago & they were given new territory, but I have reason to believe that they are keeping the customers. I have asked nicely whether they could tell me which customers, so I don't double up.
That's why I was asking here, to see if it was the done thing to tell.

    Will see what happens...

Yes, see what you mean. Unfortunately for you she will have built up a certain amount of support from her old customers, who know her, so if she's looked after them in the past they are more likely to stick with her rather than trust a new rep. Having said that, if she stopped for a while, it may be that some of her customers are feeling let down so it's still worth canvassing the street to find out who would like a book from you.

As before, ask her and/or your upliner for the addresses of her F&F customers and then make a decision whether it's worth you keeping that street as territory. If not, ask your upliner to release it and find you some better territory as close to you as possible.
