TL: I'd be tempted to email the SL concerned although why not email your ASM and just copy the SL in? (Bit more diplomatic - in my experience ASMs do like territory issues to be directed through them or SL to SL rather than reps taking things into their own hands.)

Just to clarify, SL's are not supposed to just drop books anywhere they like; they are allowed to door-knock to find reps.

Sounds to me like in your situation 'knocking and asking' would be preferable to 'dropping and running'. Each to their own though.

Yes there are some. I suspect Avon would prefer 'exclusive' to 'quite lonely' though ;)

I think the top 50 who go on the holiday are all gold reps if im right??.. some of them are SLs too!! dont know how they find the time lol

Tiggerlilly - I may have this wrong because I'm not a SL, but I asked about SLs canvassing on Connects once and this is the response I got: it's fine for SLs to canvas for reps but not to ask people to get in touch to order from them, or put books out that can be ordered from with an order form. I've seen this response posted a few times since when SLs have been unsure about what they can do/reps have found SL books with order forms on their allocated streets. I asked myself because a SL had dropped flyers on an allocated street of mine.

SLs canvassing where they like for reps still creates a small problem of turning one of your customers/potential customers into a rep, but that doesn't worry me too much. Otherwise they should still have to follow the same rules as the rest of us when it comes to canvassing for customers: only do it on allocated streets.

There's always a chance (especially on free streets) that a SL can be asking for reps, but gets some people asking them for a brochure. In that case they can keep the customers for themselves, but some will pass the customer onto the allocated rep for the street, or pass the customers on once they've signed up a nearby rep so the rep gets a head-start.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Does anyone know if supershock gel eyeliner has been discontinued? Is my absolute favourite, and haven't been able to find it in a while. Now it is in clearance in HT12, but sold out :( If anyone can point me in the direction of some I will be grateful, almost out. (Black please)
Haven't seen anywhere that it was going, or I would have stocked up.
Will have some miffed customers too, who I encouraged to try and and now they love it, I can't supply it

    Hi missminx.
You'll be pleased to know avon are bringing it back in C15 in Black! :j
I've had an email with a preview of C15, it's only live for 7 days, so here's the link if anyone wants a look!

There's some really nice stuff in there....so much for being an Avon rep to make a bit of extra money - it's costing me a fortune :rotfl:

The SL whose information I came across had delivered brochures with order forms and delivery date to every house, in the street allocated to me and also in the bag was a flyer trying to recruit new reps to her team as well. Now obviously it maybe there has been an admin error on the ASM's part and she has wrongly allocated me that territory. But if this SL is working independantly of ASM or if you like on her own initiative what is to stop this SL deciding to canvas and deliver brochures for orders to my other territory which as I said is very near to where this has occured. It seems I could work these streets and then this SL could start taking business from me, either for herself or a new rep and I can't do a damn thing about it, particulalry if she is not working with the ASM.
Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:
  • Just looking at HT13 and the Far Away money maker.... I was thinking of ordering a few bottles and some samples, and giving out the samples this time so that people can try it first and then order next time. However, I can't find the samples! On p8 of HT13 it says "Check out our fragrances samples on page 35 for our Far Away EDP samples....", but I can't see them! Also looked on line to see if I could just add them on there, but again they're not in the list. I've looked back to HT10 and can't find them! Anyone know what's happened to them or have the code so that I can try and add them to my order?

Another thing I've noticed is the Pro Luscious Pout Lip Colour, new in HT13. Demo price is £4.20, brochure price will be £6. However if you wait to order it from the brochure, you can also order a foundation for £2, so I'm going to wait till C13 and get it that way. At 25% commission it will only be £6 for the lip colour and the foundation :)

just a thought... how about explaining your situation to your regulars. They may be able to make life easier for you. Some maybe willing to receive the online brochure and order by email? Depending how many regulars and how many books you have, you could give them a book when you deliver and ask them to order by email / text so you can limit the trips you have to make?
Hope you feel better soon. My little one quite likes the trips out in the buggy, so not so bad as yet!

Thats a good idea thanks for that, would make my life easier if they did email me!

    When's Baby due?

I'd try and maybe stick with doing regulars for now if you can manage it - remember you and baby are more important :)

Also, I've found that by missing out those houses that haven't ordered anything before, when they do get recanvassed you will pick up a few new customers :D, I think they appreciate seeing the book all the more when they haven't had one shoved through their door for a while.

Even if you did decide to drop the territory all together you could still keep on any customers you already have as friends and family ;)

January so still going through the grotty bit which doesn't help.

I am wondering whether to just keep my regulars as F&F, I still make around £50-£80 a camp with them alone so I am pleased with that.

You may feel better once you get past the 'grotty' bit, although if you're like me it lasts the full 9 months!!

Oh dear, just had a look at that, I won't be making any money on that campaign.
