Has anyone ordered the Daily Shine set out of HT, the one where the codes need putting in separately? I've got one on my order but when I look at the view subtotal its not working itself out as £3.50. Am I doing something wrong or does it right itself on the 'real' invoice?

It looked a bit funny when I ordered it, like it was charging me £3.50 but also charging me separately for part of it but it's sorted itself out on my real invoice.

You may feel better once you get past the 'grotty' bit, although if you're like me it lasts the full 9 months!!

Oh and me! If one more person had said, 'oh sickness should have stopped by now' I think I would have punched them!

    Another question from me!!!

I ordered some of the Herve Leger MM from HT, but didn't sell them all :( , so I have some to go back - what do I need to send back ? The MM was the perfume, a mascara and sample, but I used the samples obviously.

    Hi Ladies,

I'm interested in becoming an Avon rep but I don't drive, so the streets I do would need to be the ones around where I live... I've never seen anyone dropping catalogues off where I live but is there a way of seeing if my street is available?

    Thanks,

    Kevin

Hi, I have also just joined, In fact i'm in the process of delivering my first orders /ect.

I too am not driving at the moment. I was having Avon delivered too my house, But the rep had over 18 different streets. That rep is now my SL. She gave me half of my own street to start off with. You too might also be lucky.

My SL did say to me, Avon normally TRY and give you street as close as they can.

Where about's are you? Maybe if someone here is local they might be able to help you get started? Or give some great advice?

    Hi all,

I was wondering if i could pick brains??

I was told when joining to try & get more people buying by offering vouchers / discounts & special offers EVERY month. Last time C10> I done, Spend £20 & get 2 free gifts. But, This month i'm stumped. Also, Looking at what my customers have order C11 isn't going to be fruitful for me.

I wondering what specials you all offer to bring the sales home??

Also, for people who don't drive - How do you manage to deliver all your books? I have a good few house's (Over a 100) & I'm finding it a struggle carrying 100 books backwards & forwards?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Just looking at HT13 and the Far Away money maker.... I was thinking of ordering a few bottles and some samples, and giving out the samples this time so that people can try it first and then order next time. However, I can't find the samples! On p8 of HT13 it says "Check out our fragrances samples on page 35 for our Far Away EDP samples....", but I can't see them! Also looked on line to see if I could just add them on there, but again they're not in the list. I've looked back to HT10 and can't find them! Anyone know what's happened to them or have the code so that I can try and add them to my order?

Further to my post above.....I emailed Avon to ask them about the samples. I'm sure you can guess their response:
On checking our records, we can confirm this product is unavailable. At this time we are unable to advise whether we will re-introduce this product at a later stage.
We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

 I've replied to say I think it's a bit silly to offer Far Away as a money maker and advertise that you can buy samples but they aren't actually available, but not sure they'll respond to that email :o
Oh well, i'll just have to get an extra bottle as money maker and use that as a tester and return it to them once I've finished with it!
 I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?

Those template emails make me mad. It is poor service from avon. They need a proper uk call centre, and email reply centre in the uk OR to bring the one they have now up to an acceptable standard.
I think you should take this to connects and mark the title for attention of helen@avon. She is very good at getting things sorted. HTH

I wouldn't offer incentives every campaign cause you'll end up losing money. Do it every second or 3rd or if you feel you had a particularly bad previous campaign.

While I'm still trying to establish who does or doesn't want a book in my territory I'm splitting it and doing around 50 books at a time. Nightmare to carry but my streets are all so close it'd be an absolute waste in petrol.

I agree. I don't do it every time. I do offer a free gift for new customers who spend £15 or more, and I also do it if someone makes a particularly large order. However, I am shrewd! I choose things that I think they may buy once they have tried it, so I don't use things from clearance that are being discontinued if I can help it. One of my favourites was the perfect wear make-up remover (£5 standard book price) which came up on offer for 99p customer price, so 74p nett and then when they buy it earns you £1.25 commission :D
Other good ones include: shampoo / conditioner / hair masks
