Tiggerlilly wrote: »Hi looking for a bit of advice, I have only done two campaigns so pretty new to all this. I was wondering if it is better to put order forms in with a blank delivery date and brochure number so they can be reused or to write this information on every one I deliver even though I am only getting a few orders and would have to recycle the majority at the end of each campaign. I do already include a note saying when I will be collecting the book but think this could get too cluttered if I also put on when the delivery will occur. I did have one lady request when I was doing her delivery today to put on her form when the delivery was due so she could ensure she had the cash ready, so I was thinking of doing some of the order forms with the information for those who have previously placed an order, and then doing a small leaflet to drop through any doors where an new order is placed saying something like, " Thank You for placing an order with Avon your delivery is due ............, and then put my details underneath. Any thoughts from any other Reps would be most welcome.
Hi Tigerlily,
I'm a newbie as well (starting 2nd campaign). I have just put my name/address on order form (will probably get stamp or stickers soon).
Then I've put a printed note in front introducing myself with brochure pickup/delivery dates & my contact details. I've just decided that if I pick up an order, I will put the slip back through their door & write on it 'thanks for order' then they've got my details incase they need to get in touch.
I've managed to get 3 printed notes to 1 A4 sheet, so not too bad. Although I did pinch one out of the Kleeneze catalogue this week as thought hers looked clearer & less cluttered than mine
Good luck!Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -

Does this apply to reps as well or just SLs? I've seen some guidelines posted on Connects, but the heading was "Guidelines for Sales Leaders" (or words to that effect).
When I set up a blog I kept Avon out of the URL, but I've still got an e-mail address with Avon in it. I thought the domain name issue was to do with search engine results, but I'm not sure why Avon in an e-mail address is an issue. All I can think is that it makes it look like you're an employee.
I only circulate the e-mail address to my customers, who are either friends and family or on my round within 15 mins walk of my house. I don't use Facebook or promote myself online - apart from the blog but again that's only publicised to my customers.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I think this whole thing about email addresses is ridiculous. The point of an email for something like this is that it is easy for your customers. It makes me mad. Customer do not think they are emailing avon, they know it is your addy. since when would a big compnay use gmail /live mail / hotmail etc??? I had flyers printed when I first started with an email containing avon on them, I can't afford a reprint because avon are throwing their weight around. Quite frankly, on a legal basis, I don't think they have a leg to stand on. Avon is a place, do they want that changed as well?? I'm sure Ordnance Survey would be well chuffed
If anything, they best they can say is that 'Avon' is their trademark. email adresses in lower case don't therefore carry the trademark. If they want me to stop using my flyers they can stick it... there's always Bodyshop at home!!!Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

Actually, I just assumed it meant all reps and SL's but you could be right.... Have just checked the email they sent me and it only mentions SL's. Can't see them differentiating in that way between the two though but who knows? I guess until you're notified direct by Avon and/or they post something on your web page then you're OK to continue. Strange, though.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

You go girl!! :rotfl:
Actually, think you've made some excellent points there.
Avon are tightening up in a lot of areas at the mo though - some to stupid lengths. I spent loads of time recently because a lady wanted to be a rep again. She had a short stint as a rep last year but is adamant she doesn't owe Avon any money. They reckon she does and are insisting she's also responsible for goods delivered to an old address after she moved out! I suggested she ask Avon for a copy of the delivery note but they tell her there isn't one but the driver remembers leaving the goods..... yeah, right. Come on Avon, mostly Iyou but sometimes you really get my goat!

Technically it would apply for reps as well - however, Avon are only going to be bothered about what SL do with regards to having "avon" in URL/email addresses - we advertise more etc, for reps I can't see them doing anything, other than ticking you off. All just my opinion of course. As a SL, I'm sticking with not having Avon in the URL/email addy. Though I've still got my facebook name inc avon - but the url for my profile has been changed so that it doesn't include avon. I posted how a few pages back. Hoping that will get round it - but I can't see how Avon can "police" usernames on facebook - it would cost that far too much for no benefit to them.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Tell them you were born in avon, so that's why it's in your fb profile!!! Maybe that's what we should do.... Choose it as current location and then add information! lolStill looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

That for one, and the fact that some email addys may be 'unprofessional' sounding, e.g. xxxsexyblah @ blah.com
Add Avon into that, and it hardly makes the company look good...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Haha Good point... policing 'inappropriate' emails is a bit different than avonyourname@xxx.com or avonrepyourlocation@xxx.com Now I just have to go change my sexyavon*****@xrated.comStill looking for the plot...... I'm going to have a good trawl around the rep site to see if anything on the e-mail issue has been posted. If it hasn't I'll carry on using my address as it is and ask my ASM next time I happen to speak to her.
I could always change the e-mail registered with Avon to another one so my order confirms and e-mails from my ASM go to that one, but my customers can carry on using the one with "Avon" in it.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here.
