I joined Avon on Monday. So far everything my end seems to be moving really fast, However I have already found a problem with my SL.
She has given me 106 house’s 20 books no bags & damaged order forms.
I’m now being told that I need to drop 20 books, give each customer 1 day to look and collect, Repeating until I have done ALL 106 house’s.
Was your SL suggesting this or telling you? It's entirely up to you how you run your business. SLs will often give advice, tell you how they do things, but ultimately you can choose to do things differently if you want. 1 day is an awfully short length of time. I know I'd say that seeing as I leave my books for almost a week (at the least)but I don't think I've ever seen anyone leave books for 1 day. Some do 2-3 days when covering new streets.
You also don't have to cover your territory in your first campaign, especially if you're signing up towards the end and only have 20 books. You'd have to be superwoman so don't worry if you can't. By all means when you get your books back re-prep them and get them out asap, but with 20 books it's a bit impractical.
Add some Avon brochure bags to your first Avon order, but until then supermarket freezer bags will do the job.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Thank you for the replies.
Sl told me to do it, She said any longer and customers will be convinced your not coming back to collect the books.:o
Also, Last night I have a nightmare of a time getting the books out. Lucky the OH was with me
I have been given around 65 properties which is all flats. I got pulled 7 times after covering just 9 homes, from people telling me I cannot canvas privately owned flats. As the management company has been fined for putting them in everyday bins.
Amongst the confusion I have managed to deliver 10 books to the wrong house’s.
Lucky the house’s are under my SL.
I felt like giving up last night.
PS:- How long normally does it take to get your rep number? Does it get emailed / text to you or do you get it from your SL?
Sorry for all the questions :cool:Future goals:

Hi
I have contacted Avon about how to find the return forms on the new website if I get a reply I will post it up on here.
I am now a trainee SL. I should be signing up my first rep today who contacted me through a friend; however she doesn’t have the internet, doesn’t drive and doesn’t have any photo ID. So it has been a bit of a nightmare trying to arrange it all between her myself and my SL.
I haven’t had that much interest in becoming a Rep amongst my friends, so I am going to start asking my customers. Trying to make some flyers to go in with books, perhaps with a small gift for signing up as a Rep or referring someone, any ideas on how I could word this?
I too have a customer on my website that I have never heard of, any ideas what we should be doing with this?M May11 55886.810 -

Hi
I have contacted Avon about how to find the return forms on the new website
This is how to find it:
go into your account:
go to My Orders
Order Tracking
LOOK FOR AN ORDER NUMBER WHERE THE ORDER STATUS IS RECEIVED
Click on the ORDER NUMBER which will be in red
and underlined
It will show you All customers and your name will be there
Beneath that, the grey tool bar shows CREDITS AND REPLACEMENTS
Underneath that shows credits and there will be + sign next to the credits
Click on the +
This is your credit invoice
To print it, there is a printer icon just at the top of the form, underneath the tool bar, just click on print and print.
I think you just ask the courier to sign a copy that you keep and put one in the box, I have printed it so can't tell you this bit yet.0 -
I have emailed my ASM about the Ecustomers in my "My Customer" section. I will advise if and when she gets back to me.0

Thanks, I think I have followed the steps correctly, but what I'm confused about is there doesn't seem to be anywhere to put in today's date or the parcel barcode number .M May11 55886.810 -

The brochure collection bit on the order form really doesn't stand out, even if you highlight it. I created a text box in Word and typed out a "brochure collection day is: " in big bold text. I fit 8 of these to an A4 sheet. Then I staple this little note to the front of the brochure so people can't miss it.
At the private flats I can imagine there being a more long-term problem. Even if you knock on every door and ask first, the people who take a brochure aren't guaranteed to leave it out for you. You're much less likely to lose them but they can forget. So if they then put the brochure in the bin there's a fine? It seems crazy. Plus you can hardly be held responsible for people not recycling. The note I staple to the front of new brochures says the collection day, but also "please don't throw this away" - might be doubly useful in your situation. I don't have that much sympathy for the householders - when they were fined in the past the rep surely asked for the brochures to be given back. They weren't forced to dispose of the brochures themselves (unless it was a rep who never showed up).I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

yes I noticed that. I don't know how they are going to link the items back - as I haven't printed it I don't know if that appears when you print it.
Maybe you should write it on the form too just in case.0
