I'm dropping brochures on tuesday. Only have a week so besties have C3 & C2, not so goodies have C2 only (done a straight 50% split) and will have to miss my very occasionals as not enough brochures for everyone in one drop and my best customers are my most important. Will be adding a newsletter with next 3 delivery dates and special offers.
Will be doing my own promotions to bring in orders (75p shower gel from C2 for every order over £5 in C2 & C3) which will decrease my profit but increase hopefully my turnover.
Will update on my sales next week.
DH saw one of my customers a few days ago - she was commenting on how quiet and nice I am - he thought she must have got the wrong person :rotfl:
Lets hope this year takes off with a flying start as I still dont think I will make it to Presidents Club this year. Mind you, not sure what the benefits would be if I did (other than one or two bits cheaper in HT) so ignorance is blissPlease do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

I also have "besties" and "not so goodies" groups - I do feel a bit like a teacher marking their class when I'm keeping track of people's interest. I've put one customer who used to be on current onto backorder because they started leaving a backorder book out (even though they had another one), would say they'd drop it round (and didn't), etc... Some people who haven't ever placed an order are going to move onto 4 books a year in a few campaigns.
Everyone points out the cheaper books for PC members, but don't you have to order 100 at a time to get the cheaper price? Even with my bigger territory I'd never need that many of 1 campaign.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I've been thinking of just sticking with family and friends as having no luck what so ever with my territory. I'm gonna see how things go for a few months and may think about leaving avon or maybe stay but just order a few bits and pieces for myself every now and again.
I'm due to start my new job on tuesday so wont have as much time on my hands as I do now.0 -
First time I have used this site, have been thinking about going from F&F to knocking on doors, but still a bit unsure. Held a few parties last year for family but didn't really take off only did 2, definately worth the sales but a bit of a struggle getting people to sign up to host one. Have contacted my sales leader to discuss territory, would like to deliver to where my f&f are but don't know if this is allowed, any advice anyone.0

I'm doing the same chelseylou. It's not fair on DS for me to drag him out doing territory, when the whole point of me working part time is to spend quality time with him. And I am getting fed up of doing territory for other Reps to come along and take it over, and still give books to my customers when they have been told not to.
Something I was thinking about, it has been over 28 days and I have not received anything for ordering from Avon through the Nectar website. Has it registered for anyone else?0 -

Hi busyrascal
you cannot just deliver to territory where your F&F are, without your SL or ASM first advising if the territory is available. This is because there may already be a rep there and you would be stepping on their toes, if you went along and started door knocking/distributing books.
It is a good idea to ask if the territory is free, because if it is.... this could be potential more sales for you.0 -
Thanks aureol212, will wait for my ASM to get back to me, hope she does it soon while I feel positive about doing it, not done anything like this before - knocking on doors. Seems like you aren't enjoying it at the minute, I am hopng to spend more time with my little one this year so was hoping to get the best of both worlds and earn a bit extra cash?!0

at the end of the day you got to do what's best for you and your son, like you said its not fair on him.
I also feel I put in so much work for very little back and its not worth it. I mean I loved it to start off with but now i dont really have the interest in it, it just gets put to one side til someone wants a book!
Good luck in whatever you decide to do. I know I will still come by from time to time x
I just dont get why these other reps feel its neccessary to do what they please when they have been told not to do it, or just feel the need to do any roads/streets without checking if they are free.0 -

I don't knock! I do canvass with little leaflets with main benefits listed and tick boxes for yes, please/no, thank you/already have a rep. Knocking is probably better for getting definates (sometimes folks tick nothing!) but I'm too nervous (even though I meet strange folks in their own home all the time in my other job).
Some knock and some stuff and run - do what feels right for you.

I've done it for nearly 2 years, and have had problems with territory. Also my customers are getting widespread, through word of mouth contacts, etc. I don't own a car, so it makes getting to them harder, and now DS is 3, he is not that happy to be dragged around posting books through people's doors, standing on doorsteps chatting etc. When he was still in his stroller, it was much easier, but now he is so independent and gets bored very quickly. Unless there is something in it for him, he doesn't want to be standing on the doorstep talking to people.
I also work in an office 3 days a week, so when I am not working, I like to spend time with him, doing things he likes.0
