Morning all,
New year & new start for me & my hubby. First month on DMP, Gonna go out Avoning later. I have prep 100 avon books. Fingers cross I will get some orders. I am not giving up just yet a start of me. Plus diet start 4 Jan when back to work. Got Ebay as well.
New year was quite but did go down to the pier to watch the fireworks.

Went out last night to drop off some C2 brochures which I'll collect back on Monday, hopefully with lots of orders .

Good Luck Been counting on getting some orders. I am just canvesse for new customers. I brought a shopping trolley to help me carry books & weigth lost walking.

Found C2 to be a little bit slow. Feedback from many of my customers is that they are skint after Christmas. Despite that, I've picked up a few new customers - one gave me a very nice order of over £50.

Got books to collect tomorrow and more to go out so hoping to make HOV again. I'm not far short of it and still got F&F to do as well.

Chatting with one of my regular customers, we were discussing the rise in VAT and how it is going to impact on everything we buy. She said something that was very true. For many it is going to be a hard year but people will always buy Avon because of the feel-good factor and people need to keep clean and feel fresh.

Also, the days are now starting to get longer (although you wouldn't think it at the moment) so look forward to warmer days and sales of tanning products

Happy New Year everyone!

Got straight out of the starting blocks today with C3 (it goes in a week on Tuesday). I'm door-knocking because I've got new territory so thought a Sunday afternoon would be good. Ended up pushing all but a couple of brochures through doors since no-one was in. I'm always torn between door-knocking and just putting brochures through. I decided to knock this time because I didn't want to annoy people with something they haven't asked for - and then expect them to follow instructions and leave it out. I wanted to use the few C2s I've got left to get around as many new houses as possible. However, when people weren't in/didn't answer I was a bit relieved that they didn't have a chance to say no straight away, and maybe they'd look at the brochure before deciding. From my experience of canvassing last time, only one person was in a bad mood when I asked for the book back (and actually they had allowed me to drop it in the first place...) so I'm not too worried about the reaction of people who'll find one on the doormat when they get in.
