just seen your signature angelsmomma. That is fab about the voucher win :j

I know I was that shocked to win something I thought it was a scam asking me for my address.:rotfl: I emailed through the website (Burgess dog food) and they said it was indeed real that I was in the lucky dip after filling in a survey on their site. I felt a right fool but better safe than sorry.

I forgot all about it and only entered because it was for a years supply of dog food and I had 3 (I had my old boy pts this week) and that would have been great. It was the third prize aparently
Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.

  • Thanks but that's now an Invalid thread. Wonder if it was reported and has been removed?

Am still a bit confused with Connects too - I seem to have two ID's but noooo idea why! :o (Much prefer this thread anyway!! :T)

I have exactly the same problem lol - at least we're all confused together! :D

About the other thread - if enough people report it it will get pulled until Abuse have a chance to look at it :)

jazzyjam - about Rep Packs that you can get from HT. I got one of these a while ago because separate customers had bought various items from it meaning I got it for free and still made £4 (I think). I'd have earned only a couple of pounds more if I'd ordered the products separately from the brochure. I had an eyeliner (sold later to a customer), a lipgloss, a Herve Leger, 3 Christmas items (which sold very quickly on eBay last month), and 2 jewellery sets (also sold on eBay) left over from that pack.

Anyway, one of the items I sold straight away was one of the napkin holders. I also sold a couple of other napkin holders and they were returned as well. So I returned two that were from the brochure, and had 1 left which had to be the one from the rep pack. When I searched to return the item it appeared as a single item costing 90p. When I got my invoice showing the rep pack none of the items were individually priced. I was too chicken to return this 90p one just in case they asked me to return the rest of the pack.

I don't know if anyone's managed to return an item from a rep pack. Something to consider if you want to take the risk.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Not had to return odd bits from a rep pack, but I did order an extra one of those basket xmas gift sets didn't need it in the end, so went to return it. All of the items were priced at random - the basket set at about £5, and then all the actual products were less than about 70p each, saying as they're all fairly popular products with my customers, I decided to just return the basket and there was no problem.

Make of that what you will lol.

I had that Rep pack too. Sold some things at a Xmas Fair etc. Have a few bits left that I intend to put on Ebay. How did you get on with the jewellery on ebay? I didn't think I would get much for it. Worked out ok like that. Napkin holders were rubbish!! However, I kept the table top decoration (light up one) and used it to decorate my mantel piece. Was much better for that purpose I thought!! Doubt I would buy another rep pack unless it was a really good deal though.
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

missminx - I sold everything as Buy it Now. So I looked at what other people had priced at and what the auctions were going for. Listed higher than the auctions (some started at less than £1) and either a little bit less or the same price as the other Buy it Nows. I've only got total incomes on my spreadsheet so price (including p+p) were: Fiorella set £5.48, Christmas mug £7.48, Condiments bowl £6.98, garland £7.48, Stacy set £5.48. Everything sold within the first 30-day listing (one of the Christmas things went after Christmas). Worked out I made £16.09 from selling those items, which I got for free effectively. Plus still got the lipgloss and perfume left. Never used this smiley on here but I think it applies: :money: Oh and I've got the napkin holders left but they were a returned item and by all accounts were a bit carp. Car boot at best.

I didn't want to price the jewellery too high (partly because of the other listings) but also because I wasn't that impressed with the quality.

Yes, I've also found that certain deals appear as a bulk price on your written invoice but if you search by item to claim a credit they are broken down per item. We've often mentioned Creative Ordering but Creative Returns can be equally as rewarding ;)

As for Bargain Packs, I tend to order 2 - open one, see if it's worth keeping and/or offering the second, unopened, to a customer i.e. once I can tell them what it contains. (They're the same in each individual campaign.)
