I do, it's easier to declare than end up with a fine.
But I doubt you'll get anyone admitting to not declaring they'll just keep quiet lolAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I have been an avon rep for many years now and do it alongside another job of mine. I have not sold alot at all this campaign (7) but then I only deliver to one road, the rest of my orders come from friends and work colleagues.
Out of curiosity how many of you who have other work declare your earnings from avon? From what I understand not many people do.
xx
Unless you earn a fortune, you have nothing to lose in declaring it, and if you do earn a fortune then the Revenue will notice! So, I would suggest if you don't declare it as yet that you do so. If you're not earning much, you will pay little or no tax and you can fill out a small earnings exemption for NI. I just couldn't face risking it. However, creative ordering does mean that what is on your invoice may or may not be what you have earned, plus you can put expenses in.....Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
I declare my earnings. sorry should say what little I make!0

I declare my earnings too. But Avon is my only paid job so I claim housing/council tax benefits and have to put my accounts in on a regular basis to prove how little I'm earning :rotfl:
My order is due in today and I just can't get motivated to start entering it as there's load of small order for <£5 and my total is somewhere around £350...maybe looking through the books myself might encourage me, I'm just too tired to care right nowCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

It's a huge road with around 200 houses, but because I don't order loads of books I've been doing it a bit at a time, anyway out of all these houses I've managed to get a grand total of 5 customers, and two people that have said not this time but keep coming. And out of those customers I have one that's really unreliable - never leaves her book out and have to chase her about to deliver, and another that's a really sweet old lady who said 'I only like the lipsticks - my last one lasted 8 years ' so I don't think she'll be ordering very often:rotfl:
I just don't think it's a very 'Avon Friendly' street and feel as though I'm wasting my time - but I had to natter my upline about getting more territory so I feel as though if I give it up she won't give me anything else.
On paper I have a great territory with lots of houses but in reality very few of them are interested in Avon.
A friend even said to me why would someone pay X for Avon when you can buy Clinique for not much more
I canvased mine over a few months as I didn't want to waste money on lots of catalogues.
I now have about 35 customers out of my huge *potential* list but I do recanvas every now and then.
There has been someone trying to canvas my area but they didn't get anywhere which made me feel better about it.
I've no idea who they are but a couple of customers told me and then I spoke to my ASM. The joys of signing up online :rotfl:

Hi mandi, it may not be just that she's contrary, my aunt survived breast cancer a few years ago and was told she cant use any creams etc that come in plastic containers, only glass, are there any glass alternatives u cld suggest?
Sorry, just seen this and that is a very good point. Will have a look at alternatives.
Thank you0 -

Possibly something worth pointing out to Avon as well??? If people are being given this advice it is bound to affect their buying choices.Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
Well done everyone whose Campaign 7 is going well - wish mine was!
Nobody so far has ordered the Anew starter kits and I'm only just over MOV. Got a few more friends and family books to pick up, but don't expect much from them.
My sister takes her brochure into work with her, so I sometimes get a few orders that way, but she is off sick after some surgery at the moment, bless her.
Some of my 'regulars' are still saying they don't need anything 'cos they had lots given them at Christmas!
Oh well, perhaps Campaign 8 might be better.......RIP Marmaduke 04.02.11, MIsty 09.06.12 and Rufus 19.7.24 very, very sadly missed xxx

Additional Order
Paid my £2.50 for an AO 2 weeks ago. It still hasn't arrived. Have emailed Avon 2 days ago & apart from standard email acknowledgement have not replied. If they have sent the order (there is an invoice dated 17th Mar) and Royal Mail have lost it, what happens?
Am so sick of apologising to this particular customer, it's embarrrasing. I also feel Avon should refund me the £2.50.
Anyone know how this will be dealt with?
Thanks"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
Ask your upliner to call them on your behalf and ask if they will refund the £2.50 as you have not received it and the customer is feeling the lack of customer service from Avon.0
