I was just wondering how long do you leave the books with people?
Hi, its been interesting reading what everyone else does, I've only been doing AVON for the last 2 campaigns so I'm still working out how many books I need and things.
I've been collecting books on tuesdays and delivering orders and books on a wednesdaySealed pot challenge 18750 -
Im currently ordering about 100 books per campaign buts thats because I am canvassing a new road. Once I've wheedled out who does and doesnt want a book I can cut that amount down. I also run one of my roads on the book behind (otherwise Id be ordering loads more books lol)
Started my new job Friday. Had a day of induction then had checkout training yesterday. Start my night shifts on Monday. Guess who will be in bed most of Tuesday lol0 -
Good luck with the new job minigirl. Just cooking dinner then gonna get avon prep done for tomorrow. Been out collect books this afternoon. £250 in sale so far. Very happy was worry I only make £76 for some reason. Silly dreams I think.
How everyone else doing. I am on c8 at moment.0 -
Thanks everyone. I was thinking about leaving the books for 2 days so I wasn't far off in my thinking.
Why are some of you on different campaigns? Sorry for being a pain.GC July £250/0 -
Some are trendsetters where they are about 2 campaigns ahead. Believe I'm on plan A and my C6 delivery is due tomorrow. Later mailplans won't have ordered C6 yet. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

mine too!
i have found leaving books for 48 hours has resulted in more orders than leaving for longer, i package mine up on a Monday, post on tuesday with a note saying "Please leave me outside by 9am on Thursday for collection" and tend to get about 85% on the doorstep, 10% need a knock and 5% i never get back
i have just ordered campaign 6 and its my second campaign, still have one part of my territory that i am yet to canvass but the my books are all ready to go on tuesday
my delivery comes thursday, i deliver on saturday, give them the next brochure and tell them they see it almost a week before anyone else - quite a few have commented that they like this0 -
I agree with what is said above about getting people into a routine with the books - mine all pretty much know now that they will get a book on a Tuesday (or with their order if they have bought in the previous campaign) and that I will collect those books back on a Sunday. Works well for me, I have slips ready printed for any that haven't left books out and aren't in when I knock saying that I will call back on Tuesday and would they please leave the book out for me. I lose relatively few books, all things considered, and I am sure that this routine has a lot to do with this. I also pack books in a specific way so that I can see at a glance whether it is likely to have been read or not. Something which may be useful if you are trying to think out territory to minimise books is to return a few hours after you have dropped your books - when I find books that are already out I mark the houses to be skipped for a few campaigns at least.
One thing I would say is be REALLY careful if you are letting customers know exactly where you live - remember that the likelihood is that those same people may also know if at any point you are going away for a week or fortnight's holiday, leaving your house empty. Most of my customers seem absolutely lovely, but I am always mindful of the fact that they may not be as nice as they seem, or their partner or grown up children may not be.....Not suggesting you mistrust everyone, but worth being cautious, I think.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

This method worked for me for 22 years, before becoming a Manager.
