Good luck, Jo; hope you've got a good one. Sorry, am really nosey:o.... when you say you 'found' her, did you ask around locally or use another method?

Never come across a 'former SL' before so sure there's a story there.... Don't feel obliged to 'share' until you're happy to though.

found her on gumtree, tried applying with avon direct and one of the sl sites and got no word, jo (sl, not me lol) got back to me in ten mins. I did well with the sales leadership but was struggling with uni and then my bf at the time and i broke up and he was my driver lol. Have since moved to england from scotland so didn't have any useful contacts lol

O I know been at it 2 years so we know people will stick with us. Had quite a few orders this time which is good, even though they're small orders it's people who rarely order so it's good that they're still interested! Trying to do more on Facebook now, hoping to get more people ordering there toiletries (shower gels, deodorants) from us cos then it'll be more regular. Sell a fair amount of toiletries but judging from our last few deliveries most is from make-up, some jewellery and some perfume as well as gifty bits.

Thanks and good luck again. Have heard of Gumtree - looks like I need to get on there.... Two Jo's - sounds like it was meant to be.

Me too, any money made is going towards an engagement ring partner is doing it with me, so he claims anyway lol

Good for you! Your OH's support is invaluable. Seems somehow easier for them to promote your business than you sometimes i.e. he is helping/supporting you rather than you just trying to sell Avon to people. Don't underestimate the value of the pint either! I've found loads of customers through going for a 'jar or two'!

Am on our local skittles team and it's amazing how often team members will... sort of hint at asking whether Avon has anything to help them even though their OH's regularly get an Avon book posted through their door! As ever, personal service is everything. Totally up to you how you organise your own Avon business (within Avon's T&C's of course) but I get a buzz out of putting some sort of 'package deal' together, telling them to try it for a week and then either bring the goods back or pay me when we meet again the following week for the next match. Hasn't failed me yet. People are just amazed that they're allowed to try the goods and then pay later or return them and owe nothing. Win/win.... :T
