Rainbow, you are provided with at least 20 books, order forms etc for your first two campaigns, after that it is up to you to buy all your own books, stationery etc. how much you need to buy depends on how many customers, if you have teritory etc. Who ever signs you up would be able to give you more adviceLife is a work in progress0

Hi rainbow,
yes, there are other expenses with Avon.
You will need to purchase bags to keep your books protected, unless you door knock with them in hand and collect them when you have said you will be back.
You may wish to purchase Avon paper bags or carrier bags to deliver the items when you received them.
You have to purchase your own books after Campaign 3.
If you wish to buy samples, if you don't qualify for them with any incentives, these cost to.
Avon have stationery that you can purchase, a bag, calculator, purse, pens, again these all have a cost.
And if you wish to reward your customers for buying from you, it will cost you, (unless you have done some good creative ordering) the cost of the products you use to incentivise them.0 -

On the plus side though they were on the bottom shelf, so weren'e very noticeable and quite a few of the boxes didn't have the cellophane wrapper on them, although some did.
Thanks; interesting.... Don't suppose you noticed what date codes they had on?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Aaarg, just posted an appointment form which I forgot to post yesterday. I am so angry with myself. She was so keen that I signed her on wednesday night for c5 even though we deadline on Monday, so arranged to go and meet her on Monday to teach her how to submit........ her account won't be set up by then...... I was cutting it fine anyway but now it is virtually impossible. She is so keen as well bless her, I have already had her on the phone updating me with everything....... Keeping my fingers crossed my SL will have a solution when I see her later.....
Just finished my deliveries so have 'brain space' now.... sorry, should've dawned on me before....
Email Contracts csc.contracts@avon.com and ring them on Monday (0333 234 6234 I think the no. is) and ask if the contract can be loaded on Monday as it's the cut off day. Hopefully they'll be able to sort it for you. They must have been working today as my three newbies were all loaded today (but I did post their forms on Tuesday so looks like they're busy at the mo) so, maybe, your newbie will be loaded anyway by Monday (but the email/phone call can only help too).
Good luck.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Yes this will get their account number, though as the forms been posted it will duplicate it as the account number should be written on before posting. Also their order won't be processed until the forms been received, though they can submit their order.MarsdenCuckoo wrote: »All SL's can now do online appointments but as Lozza says it might complicate matters by not having the a/c no. on the paper form.
I queried with SL Helpline recently whether the online appointments actually meant reps would be loaded onto the system more quickly and they said No; they still, apparently, wait for the paper form to arrive so can't really see the point of us being able to do OA's. You have to have the signed form in your hand before you can do it anyway....
Thanks for clarifying this ladies, I knew someone would know more about it than me and guide in the right directionI love this thread :T

Update on my application form!! Thank you for all the advice everyone! I was shown to fill in the form with the new rep, and bring it home and submit online and then pop it in the post asap. Still not had reps appear for a few days doing it that way, hence my panic, but YIPEEE today my new rep is showing on my system so keeping my fingers crossed that this means I can get her logged into her account on Monday!!
Well done, glad it's sorted. (That'll teach me to post before catching up on the thread! :rotfl:)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Just quickly touching back on the SLship thing. I completely agree that new recruits should be encouraged to be Rep's first before venturing into SLship. I was a rep for 7 months before becoming TSL and am so glad I did. I wanted to "walk the walk" so I could pass on information from personal experience rather than use "Chinese Whispers" as mentioned earlier. My SL has been great but I am also liaising with an ASM (not mine I might add as I am in a postal area so she is way up country) and making sure I go out on swoops etc with her and she is training me on recruiting etc as I regularly recruit in her area. I must admit, my biggest fear at the moment is one of my reps wanting to become a TSL as I am only learning the ropes myself at the moment :eek:Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0

only issue there is there NO avon 90 day returns guarantee so if they return it your out of pocket! Plus it wont count towards your sales figures towards anything like incentives or presidents club
off out to do my deliveries i should have done last night but felt too rubbish to even attempt!hate being ill and letting customers down!
Thanks, J, if customers pick up on the opportunity then that's a really good point to make.
However....if you've already sold a few of the same products recently..... My guess is that the TKM products will have a special code impressed somewhere. Would be interesting to know though.

Do you have any other expenses (apart from the initial £15) when working with Avon?
DO you have to buy catalogues and stationary or is it all provided?
Im sure this information must be posted somewhere in the forum but I cant find it, sorry to be repetitive.
Just to add to other advice, really the only thing you NEED to buy is brochures and that's after you get your first two campaigns ones given to you. They run out at the first 3 packs (5 to a pack = 15 brochures) for £4.86 lump sum. Each pack thereafter is 48p so my 45 brochures last delivery cost me £7.74 - you may need less than that and you can use brochures for 2 campaigns.
Order forms are free (max 2 packs of 50 each campaign, normally more than enough and you can build stocks up).
Carrier bags make the orders look more professional and run out around 50p - £1 from memory for 50 bags depending on size.
You don't need to buy the other bits but may want to consider a cheap brochure item as a 'thank you' for large orders or samples (pefumes tend to be around 60p/pack of 5 and are often on offer).
Just shout if you have any more questionsPlease do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
