Books are sold in packs of 5 i.e. 15 books = 3 packs
Paper bags are sold in lots of 50 (from 24p to 99p); plastic carrier bags are sold singly at 3p for medium and 6p for large.
Thank you MC, don't know why I put 3:eek: but have amended post so as not to scare off a potential rep:rotfl:
Hope your break is for leisure purposesare you having a break from here too?

I'm not sure that I 'get' the concept of the dropping notes for a book. Surely a book dropped to your territory means the customer can browse without having to make a call and 'committing' themselves to a brochure?
I canvassed all my roads between sept-christmas every campaign but since then I've only given books to customers and people who have shown an interest.
I have attached a note to an expired brochure (all 2011 brochures) and dropped them off at the remaining houses just to remind them that they still have an Avon rep really. It was based on one put on the thread a while back, essentially telling them that this is an expired book, contact me for a new one or chuck it away if they aren't interested, to save me going back to collect the books.
My plan basically splits the year up into 4 parts:
- Jan til April books to customers every campaign & expired brochures that I don't need to collect to 2 streets a campaign
- April til July recanvass them properly 2-3 streets a campaign as well as normal customers
- Aug til Oct books to customers & expired brochures to other streets
- Nov - Dec everyone and anyone gets a book as many times as I can get round them!
Whether the plan works or not is another matter, we're at the end of Feb & I'm just starting stage 1!
I'm finding ticking over with just my customers and possible customers is enough work for me at the moment as my full time job is v busy, so if I gain a few extra customers then great, if not no loss, but at least I'm not spending hours dropping books off and collecting them without them being looked at every campaign!0 -

You're very welcome, MM. Yes, my break is to go and visit my family in Cyprus. (Tough, eh? ) No internet connection at home there, unfortunately, so will check in on my team occasionally but no time to keep in touch on the forums.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

wooo, finally found a sales leader! She's coming round tomorrow night. Really need to up our income and was a sl myself a few years ago so hoping it will be quite easy to get back into it. Have been collecting all the hints and tips from here so fingers crossed.

Hope you have a lovely time MC.
Have to say our sales for c5 are not what I'd been hoping, we did £450 but usually when it's makeup on the front cover we do really well and manage £600 easily. Considering we've got more customers this time than last year it shows sales are still down. Hopefully after half term it will pick up as people start thinking about the summer!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

What a disappointment! Come on Avon, get the sizes right.....
Ooooh, hope the pair coming in my little delivery tomorrow aren't going to be too small then - I'll be so disappointed......I ordered size 3/4 and my white ones were a 4/5. I was so chuffed when I knew they were doing them in black this year, too.RIP Marmaduke 04.02.11, MIsty 09.06.12 and Rufus 19.7.24 very, very sadly missed xxx

Only had my one Demo pair yet so maybe mine were a blip? Please let us know how your Black size compare to the White ones.
I bought my Black ones with a specific customer in mind because even though she reckons she's a 7 the white 6/7 were too small. Thought she'd be really chuffed if I could let her know she could have some black ones to fit but haven't even bothered to tell her about them.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks, L, am waiting for my C6 delivery before jetting off - how sad is that!? A customer wants a product that's been discontinued but I found it in HT clearance. Told his wife today (thought she'd be pleased..... how wrong can you be?) Such is life!
As for order levels, the Credit Crunch is biting a lot of people at the mo. Some of my regulars, who ordered £20/30 every campaign last year, are not ordering at all at the mo. Hang in there - customer service has never been so important.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
