I signed up, I like the idea of a box of £1 goodies to take with you.

I haven't been given any roads when I've signed up because she said that she couldn't find out what was free without my account number so to do family and friends.

Thats rubbish. When I signed up (okay I signed up with an ASM not a SL) she was expecting me to do F&F and I said I wanted territory. She emailed me that night with territory before I'd even been given my account number! I still do some F&F (I take a couple of books into my voluntary job with me) but I rely on territory. I really can't see she would say this to you, unless she's being cautious in case you get refused? Not that I'm saying you will but from what I've gathered from this thread you never know with Avon ;):rotfl:

Afternoon everyone :) Still feeling rubbish, but have got around to putting the thread up for recommending and giving advice on Avon products. It should be near the top if you can take a minute to add your preferences to it, and then hopefully we can have a link on the front page. Hope you all find it useful :A

    Hi,
Thank-you for your responses, my little boy is fine now but that word just makes your stomach go...although he has woken up this morning with another chesty cough.
Anyway, my account it still running. I think I will just bite the bullet and go for it. If it's a disaster I'll just have to rethink. Thank-you.

Glad your little one is better now - pneumonia can get really nasty.

I would be inclined to call on the customers personally that you let down. Face to face you can explain it better and be more profuse with your apologies. Use the letter for the others that hadn't ordered.

Would definately agree with Lozza about checking the territory hasn't been reassigned.

OOps, see you don't have a list of those you let down. I would be inclined to take several hours and go around everyone.

Just to mention that I've just picked up a couple of boxes of 15 sachets of Nescafe Original from poundland. Food for thought if anyone wanted to include a wrapped (but cheap) drink.

Same price in Iceland also. Pretty good deal as they are 26p per sachet in tesco.

I've seen them at that price in independant cheapy shops round here and also in QD.
Think I'd prefer to recieve hot choc myself as I'm not great with caffiene but would be worried about posting something chocolately through someones door incase they have a dog.

I may well do this. I have a few very keen customers so far. Am I right in saying you can't do this from HT but you can back order in the books?

You can back order from HT, just not the clearance stuff :D

    Hi,
I have a dilemma that I would appreciate some comments on, though go easy as everything else is falling apart at the moment....
Anyway, I was doing Avon before Christmas, had loads of problems with the short campaigns, orders late because of the snow, items missing etc. Anyway, right in the midst of this everyone in my family was ill with flu and my little boy who is 1 developed pneumonia. Everything unfortunately went a bit haywire and I basically gave up with the Avon. Unfortunately some customers didn't get their orders, no big ones, just bits and pieces and I didn't get in touch with them either.
Now everything is getting back to normal I really would like to give Avon another go but don't know how people will feel if I turn up now. I could offer a discount or something? I don't have a record of those orders I missed or I would go and apologise...
I would really appreciate some views, even if it's not positive.
    Thank-you

I'd just pop a note in with catalogues and offer them an incentive for giving you a second chance such as free gift with your first order.

Hope you son's better now, I've been there with really poorly kids so understand how hard it can be trying to balance everything. I'm sure a lot of your customers will understand you had to put your family first
