  • Hi,
I have a dilemma that I would appreciate some comments on, though go easy as everything else is falling apart at the moment....
Anyway, I was doing Avon before Christmas, had loads of problems with the short campaigns, orders late because of the snow, items missing etc. Anyway, right in the midst of this everyone in my family was ill with flu and my little boy who is 1 developed pneumonia. Everything unfortunately went a bit haywire and I basically gave up with the Avon. Unfortunately some customers didn't get their orders, no big ones, just bits and pieces and I didn't get in touch with them either.
Now everything is getting back to normal I really would like to give Avon another go but don't know how people will feel if I turn up now. I could offer a discount or something? I don't have a record of those orders I missed or I would go and apologise...
I would really appreciate some views, even if it's not positive.
    Thank-you
  • I signed up, I like the idea of a box of £1 goodies to take with you.

I haven't been given any roads when I've signed up because she said that she couldn't find out what was free without my account number so to do family and friends. I've just text my friend and she said why don't I drop her road when I give her hers because no one does it. Am I allowed to do that?

I had a similar situation just before I stopped last time and then I didn't want to go back because to doing those houses and now I have signed up again I'm hoping for different roads. I don't think I would want to order of a rep that hadn't brought the orders when they said they would because I would think that they will proberbly just do it again.

However if you were reliable before then they may be forgiving if you do a note for the front of your books just explaining that you are sorry if they had any problems with their order before christmas as you were having a rough time and will be consistant from now on.

It prob can be worded better and im sure someone else will come a long in a bit to help you out

Thank-you for your response. The frustrating this is I was doing well and was starting to build a relationship with the regular orderers. I still have my roads so I guess I would have to stick with them.

    Hi jacqui

hugs about your DS. That must have been very hard.

Make sure your account is still active, if you have missed 2 or more campaigns, they will charge you the start up fee again.

Prep your books with a note to say, you had illness in the family and was unable to contact everyone, and apologise if anyone didn't get their orders.

You are offering a free gift with every order placed, no minimum value and hope to see them soon.

I was ill from December, and put a note to all my customers who had ordered, saying sorry that I was late with their orders, as I had been ill, and when I went to see them, they were all very friendly and very nice about it all. I did give these ones a free gift to apologise. Nothing expensive, less than a £1.

no, you can't. Even though your friend says no one does it, it maybe allocated to a rep. Get the postcode and let your upliner know that your friend says there is no rep at this postcode. She can check for you and if the road is free, allocate it to you.
  • Hi,
Thank-you for your responses, my little boy is fine now but that word just makes your stomach go...although he has woken up this morning with another chesty cough.
Anyway, my account it still running. I think I will just bite the bullet and go for it. If it's a disaster I'll just have to rethink. Thank-you.

I'd just double check with whoever signed you that those roads are still yours, although your account might still be active territory will drop off before you account is completely closed. I'd imagine they're still attached to your account but just to be on the safe side x

That's rubbish - once youve signed the form we can get territory either ourselves or ask the area manager. Ask them again for territory as you can have territory once you've signed the contract you dont need to wait for your account number.
