Petrol Price Hike - VAT

Maybe we should go back to them, see if the need for a free car is still there.0

I bet they were cheaper than the cars mobility finance dish out now.
I'll bet they were.
I had a quick look at the mobility site and found that you can actually get a BMW/Mercedes on mobility!
Whatever next.
I'll going to wait with anticipation if my friend, when he changes his mobility car this year, comes home in an Aston Martin DB9!!!
Mind you with the price of petrol at a record high, I am expecting the government to give a dispensation to owners of mobility cars in that they don't pay VAT or Duty on the fuel!!! It's no good giving them a car if they can't afford to run it!!0 -

According to the DVLA database, it hasn't been on the road since 1997.
On the other hand, where do you put your shopping in these things? I thought the whole point of free cars for the disabled was so they can get out and about to do their daily chores?

Doesn't the shopping go in the boot? I thought these were front wheel driven.0 -

Engine in the boot and more bits and bobs in the front including the centred front wheel.0 -

You're kidding!
There's nothing wrong with letting them have a basic car on benefits, but luxury motoring like that? There's something wrong with that.0 -
If the government stopped handing out free cars to people on Mobility Allowance it would save a fortune. Not just the cost of a new car every 3 years but also the insurance, tax and servicings, all of which are paid for.0
