OK better get on have good days all, will pop back later xx

Dandy, big hugs to you, what a hard time for you all xx

NPM, hope today goes a bit better for you xx

this is me in a nutshell too (apart from the op bit) :o Have even resorted to taking some anti-b's that H had for a chest infection with his last cold. I know you're not supposed to take other peoples medication but it's stuff I have had before and quite frankly I am so fed up of being ill I am desperate.
No idea what I am going to do with the kids today, not been anywhere all week, can't face walking anywhere are back tightens and aches all the time. DS is bouncing off the walls
So no OS really going on. Not going out tonight as we don't do NYE. Makes me feel maudlin and not all happy and excited like others.

However I would like to wish you all a happy, healthy and properous 2011.

Dandy - Take your mum. It will be worth it. Enjoy the time you've got left together. Sending you lots of hugs xxx

NPM - Have sent you a PM but just wanted to echo what everyone has said - you're not a bad mum and I hope you can get through the next few days with as few meltdowns as possible xx

Sorry if I've missed anyone or anything important :o

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good NYE OS or not.

PS. I watched DIY SOS too, thought it was lovely that it all started here too :D

    Yoohoo

    me again :D

The houndies have been walked and i`ve walked to the post office and back so DH`s car is now taxed, the roast pork is cooling in the kitchen and i`ve prepped all the veg.

I made DH a nice breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with toast for his breakfast before he left for work which was a nice surprise for him, i bought the salmon before christmas and popped it into the freezer as it was reduced so a good bargain.

I`m having a cuppa whilst the pork cools and then i`ll sort out the kitchen and wash all the things that won`t fit in the dishwasher, just need to take the meter readings and enter those into the online account and then i shall make a start on the upstairs. Just tidying will take a while as there are plenty of things to put away before i even start to think about cleaning

Doggies have been given a treat from one of the neighbours - they each had a big hide ball which was full of something edible, i had to cut the stitches on little oldies ball and help him get at the middle - the young houndie took hers into the garden and buried it  first time she`s ever done anything like that and it was soooo comical. At least she buried it in amongst the pebbles in the pebbled area so she wasn`t a muddy monster :D

Dandy - Sorry to hear about your mum, hope that you both have a fabby new year whatever you decide to do.

JackieO - What lovely childhood memories you have, thanks so much for sharing them.

Bitsy - Where are you today? Hope that the lurgy has gone. EDIT We cross posted lol

    Have a good day peeps.

Good Morning. Can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. Not been a really great year with one thing and another, so hoping that 2011 will be better - ar at any rate no worse!!
Have had a little walk this morning but chest is still very tight so not far. Sorry doggies! Am hoping to get some tidying done before the day is out. Managed to tip a whole cup of tea over my (very cluttered) bedside table this morning - mobile, watches, receipts, books...you get the picture! GRRRH! DH moved commendably fast and produced a couple of towels so had a frantic few minutes mopping up and putting paperwork in the airing cupboard!
Probably won't stay up to see the New Year in as it's just the two of us this year. I've always thought halights signature says it all - largely it will be what we make of it - even if there are problems ,our own attitudes can make a huge difference! That said, I do wish everyone on here the very best of good health and good fortune in 2011 - and many OS triumphs along the way!
    Take care of yourselves.

    Morning everyone

Just getting DS & GF sorted, they are off the Cheltenham for the NY (with friends from his first job after uni, he was in Cheltenham for 2 years), then they go back to London.

Will then tidy up and sort out a couple of insurances, caravan one due today, and travel on the 16th while we are away. DH will by tidying up as soon as they go, he has coped, but has had enough now. Will take the cards down the tree may wait until tomorrow, normally we wait for 12th night, but will not be here then.:D

I found the DIY SOS program thread one night when surfing, feeing lost the day before my Dad's funeral, and know the older lady who joined in, I have taped it as everyone wanted to watch a film last night, DS's GF had The Nativity, which we really enjoyed.

Will try to get back later. ((hugs)) all round. DG
