Hi i have been a vodafone customer for years and never had any issues with them untill 12 months ago and now i want out as i have had enough!
I renewed my contract and updated my phone to the Blackberry Storm 2 which has to be the worst phone ever, i have had 2 replacements but they all suffer from the same faults freezing, crashing, week signal, distorted voice, very slow, bluetooth never workS, i could go on but i wont!
Back in january i changed my number as i was having a lot of unwanted calls, since then i have not had access to my online account and despite the weekly phone calls to customer service i have not been able to get this matter sorted. I am registered for paperless billing so im not able to check why bills are so hi, they told me they will send them by post but i still to receive them?? i then find out that despite telling them time and time again its taken them 2 years to update my address, but still no bills have arrived.
I have now refused to pay any further amounts to them untill i have seen full itemised billing backdated to jan 2010. I feel that vodafone cant be bothered to help existing customers and are only interested in the new ones.
I will never have a Blackberry again as they are the worst phones on the market. Im not a sheep but give me the iphone any day of the week.
So now im stuck with a crap phone that hardly ever works correctly unless i remove the battery and hard boot it about 10 times a day and a company that i dont want to be with and they dont give a dam about customers. Unless there going to pay obscene amounts of money to get out of a contract.
How can i get out of this contract with 12 months left??
Stay clear of vodafone people its not worth the hassle :mad::mad:0 -
agreed vodafone have gone down hill big style.
with regards to your blackberry, u will have a struggle, remember the k850? my friend went through 18 YES EIGHTEEN replacements,
i've been in the industry for the past 5 years, your airtime contract and equipment remain seperate thats why people have a struggle with regards to contract cancellation with equipment failure,
they must always offer replacements within 28 days of each exchange, if this is passed unfortunatly they wont exchange it through voda, only offer repair (which is exchanged anyway at repair centre cos 9/10 i've noticed they dont repair them)
my only suggestion is sell your bb on a recycle website, buy a different phone.
with regards to your bills: get customer service to DEACTIVATE your online username (account) and re-register (i had the same problem)
hope this helps.
btw: i dont work for voda0 -
Thanks for that i have thought about selling the phone to a recycle company. as for the deactivation of my online account thats been done off the top of my head about 20 or so time but as soon as you log in i get error message your phone number is not registered in the uk, your username and password are incorrect not even vodafone can get it sorted i just think there a big joke! Thanks though0

Hi everyone, long time lurker first time poster here!
I've been searching the internet to find a solution to a problem I have with my mobile phone and can't seem to find anything.
I have a contract with Vodafone and at least once a week my phone will stop doing anything. It will say I have service provided and that any texts i send have been sent. But I can't make/receive calls or receive messages, as well as the messages I send not reaching their destination until hours later.
Like I said, this will happen at least once a week and last for hours at a time.
My other problem is that i get no signal in my place of work, and in only one room of my house. Is there anything I can do about this in regard to contacting Vodafone? I feel like I'm paying out each month for a very limited service.0 -
You'll need to call Vodafone and explain the problem.0

Having been a Vodaphone customer and receiving poor customer service in the past, I decided that I would give my notice and leave them. I rang them to give my notice and as the notice period was coming to an end, I was inundated with sales calls encouraging me to take up their offer of a new phone with a better deal.
I let them send me two phones both of which I didn't like, to be told I had to fulfil another month with them for entering into a new contract. I did not keep the phones so why should I have to stay with them another month?
I have now got £426 owing which is showing on my Experian record, even though I the last bill I got said I was in credit by £16.25. I have asked them to remove it as I am not a bad payer and I think it is very unfair. They have not come back to me and it has been over a month since I requested this. The query is well over 12 months old.
I was not made aware that by having them talk me into looking at a phone I was entering into a new contract. If I had kept the phone I could understand it.
Can I take it further and complain to someone above their heads? I think it is misleading and wrong. I now have this on my record for the next 6 years and I cannot get credit because of this.
Can anyone help me?0 -
Try posting on the forum. The mods there are quite helpful. Had exactly the same problem with online billing and being lied to about paper bills being sent to addresses I no longer lived at.
Rubbish.
After about a dozen emails to India, eventually resulting in ne sending screen shots if every single failed log in, they did get it to, sort of, work.0 -
Hi Markhughes406,
It’s disappointing to hear of the problems you have been having. We would really like to look into your online billing problem and also get you a paper bill sent out straight away. For us to do this, could you email us here http://!!!!!!!/JhPl0 with WRT135 in the title please?
Hi mrdave85,
This sounds like you have an issue with the firmware on your phone. Most phones will have a software updater in the software that came with the phone. If you go to help.vodafone.co.uk then you will be able to find help for all our handsets and also the eForum where you can post your issue.
As for your reception, it might be worth looking at getting a Sure Signal to improve reception in your home http://!!!!!!!/80CCH9. You can also give us feedback on our reception, so that we can look to improve it here http://!!!!!!!/9j0MRv
Hi DawnLS,
We understand how important your credit file is to you and would really like to take a closer look at this, to see if there is anything that we can do to help with this. Can you email us here http://!!!!!!!/JhPl0 with WRT135 in the title please?
Many Thanks,
Andy

billyboy2468 - I'm sorry to see you didn't receive the callback you were promised.
I understand that you are now looking at offers elsewhere but if you would like us to get in touch the above offer is of course open to you also.
All the best

Kirsty,
Without putting to finer point on it who were the idiots I have been emailing in the past (without the WRT135 in the subject line). Vodafone have hidden behind poor language qualified staff who have no concept of customer
service or business.
I was cut off after all them years which is an absolute disgrace and I am demanding full compensation for the amount I paid for the iphone and the monthly bill I paid before I had the good sense to cancel my direct debit (which I subsequently did after my phone was
locked by Vodafone)
This is not the way a good company treats its customers.
QUOTE "weemster - Having trouble getting a signal on your phone can cause you problems" - Your 100% correct there.0 -
I purchased a N97mini just before Christmas last year on Vodafone. It has been nothing but trouble, it has got to the stage now where I am having to reboot the phone 5 to 6 times a day which is a joke. It freezes, drops application, touch screen becomes non-reactive when trying to answer a call, or trying to make a call, touch screen does not work for applications, phone gets very hot when connected to internet I could go on, but you only have to google the phone to see the issues with them. I got this phone on a 24 mth contract so i'm stuck with it. I don;t see why I should have to pay out for a faulty product. I have asked for advice on the vodafone e-forum where countless others have requested the same thing, but are being fobbed off with having phones taken in and allegedly repaired only for problem to come back, I was asked on the 27th of September what software was i using as that was probably the issue and replied straight back, obviously didn't like my answer (the latest vodafone approved software) as not heard from anyone since grrrrrrrr. Think i'm going to have to but a cheap pay as you go and use that as I need a reliable phone and this one certainly isn't but surely the phone i have with my contract should be fit for purpose which it clearly isn't!!'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0
