As a possible new customer to Vodafone I was a bit worried after reading the reviews here and elsewhere.
I took out a Satio at £35 monthly for two years last saturday on-line, could have got it cheaper elsewhere but I needed my original number and most cheaper ones would not allow me to use the pac code on-line.
Anyways monday e-mail saying credit check went fine and phone would be there tomorrow tuesday before 1pm, no phone arrived, no phone wednesday so called and told it will be with you tomorrow thursday, no phone arrived, by this time I realised my O2 sim had stopped working causing lots of problems with work etc so called late thursday to be told it will be their friday before 1pm, no phone all these delivery days I had arranged for someone to be at home all day.
Text arrived on tuesday to say new transferred number will be active on vodafone by 1pm saturday.
To say the customer service is crap is an understatement, I will see if it comes tomorrow saturday before 1pm if not I will be calling to terminate and tell them not to bother sending the new phone as it will be returned, unopened.
How do I get my original number back if I do this given it was on O2 then transferred to vodafone using the O2 pac code, with the original sim now inactive and no new sim to replace it?
Terminate if you can, I have had 6 months of hell and I have another 18 to look forward to. The problems I have had have stressed me out so much on top of having a person life and worries - I have had to take time off to deal with the correspondence between me and vodafone. I have never been so disappointed in a contract. I feel like contacting the papers0 -
I am so angry with Vodafone:mad: I took contact out of 700 mins 12 months ago.
My account closed on 15 Dec 2009 and paid the final bill, but now i receive another bill today saying that i owe £45 worth of call charges.
Got straight on the phone and spoke to an advisor who said that the last month of my cotract i only received 300 mins instead of the 700 mins as it was not the full month. However i am reluctant to pay this bill as before the contacted ended, i checked my minutes and it said i had 700 mins for that month. I dont have that text message any more.
The advisor said i will have to speak to the supervisor tomorrow.
I have a head ache from this now.
Has anyone else experienced this?0 -
Sounds correct. Vodafone (unlike other networks) charge for a full calendar month regardless of the statement date. Your only hope is that their text was misleading. I suggest you deal with the people from the company on here - you are fairly unlikely to have any outcome worthwhile from Vodafone from their normal channels.0

Right my sister seems to be a little confused and has turned to me for help so I am turning to you guys to see if you can help. She has a contract with vodafone that she was made to understand that was £25 a month whilst looking at her bills she gets charged £21.28 line rental before VAT which looking at it when the VAT is added it would add up to be about £25. Her plan says 300m UTx VP VMI BB . I know that the 300m is 300 mins UTx is unlimited texts VP = vodafone passport VMI i think is vodafone mobile internet but i cannot work out what BB is?? Also I have looked at her bills and she is getting charged for picture messages and long messages what is this? can some1 explain cos vodafone store never seemed to explain all this when she took the contract out there. Thank you0
-
Not sure what BB is, but all networks apart from O2 (as far as I know) charge extra for picture messages.0

on the vodafone order form it says in additional services MMS- VODAFONE MMS (£0.00) VIDEOTEL - VIDEO CALLING (£0.00) so does this mean that theses are supposed to be free?!?0

MMS and long text messages are charged at 36p per time. The BB that you are referring to on your sisters’ bill stands for Blackberry, therefore if she has a Blackberry this will indicate that she has the Blackberry package added to her account.
Thanks,

Hello Espi
You & Ben helped me out with my internet settings on my Tocco Lite (had to be specially set up). I've found that I can't open MMS messages sent to me? Is this likely to be a settings issue too? or do you need to subscribe to something for that service?
Thank you0 -
I thought i'd add my two bobs worth in relation to Vodafone complaints.
I took out a new contract(no phone) on the 5/5/09, it was for 12 months.
My previous contract was for 18 months, took out on the 9/1/08.
My original contract was for 100 mins and 500txts for which i was paying £20pm. I phoned to complain about the tariff i was paying and what i was getting for that tariff. I spoke to JohnPaul (ext 51950 he gave me this so i could contact him) and he offered me a contract for 600mins,Uld txts,Ult Net @ £17.13 pm for 9 months(this was a 50% discount tariff).
I asked 'What happens after 9 months?, i don't want to pay £35 pm', 'don't worry sir' replies JP 'we will contact you and upgrade you again'.
Silly me.
When i tried to upgrade my contract(due 9/2/10) i was told by Vodafone that the earliest i can do this is now the 8/5/10!! My contract expires 8/7/10.
So, ultimately after the 9/2/10, i will be paying £35 for the next 5 months.
When i enquired about downgrading my contract i was told that Vodafone put restrictions on your account and the most you can downgrade by is £5 every 30 days!
Well that's just great Vodafone, scammed at the beginning and overpaying at the end, not bad for a 7 year customer.
Needless to say i will be doing my utmost to leave Vodafone come July.0
