Well, after receiving my phone on Tuesday, charging it overnight, and using it as normal, it is no on charge for a THIRD time, since I signed for delivery?

Heidi, can you please tell me where I go from there, as I do not want to have to charge a handset every 24 hours!!! :(:(

If the phone's battery life is markedly different from its real-life performance, it's a simple case of a faulty handset. Call Vodafone and explain the position - they're obliged to swap it.

I dunno, how long should a SII battery last with all factory set apps running?

My partner charges hers nightly. The unfortunate truth with smartphones is that their battery lives are severely behind-the-times.
  • I must say from the outset that vodafone customer service is the most shambolic I've ever dealt with, having had a problem with no signal for months I've lost count on how many times I've tried to resolve this issue.
So if you have any sense avoid this company like the plague:mad:

    Hi guys,

I can see that a number of you have posted on here with your issues since I last visited the thread.

It’s very disappointing to read and it’s certainly not the kind of impression we want our customers to have of the service we provide.

If any of you need any help with any issues, please feel free to contact me personally via the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject and include a link to your post and a contact number.

Both me and my colleague Lee regularly monitor this forum for people who need our help and are very successful in resolving customers issues, as you may see from some of the previous posts.

We are always willing to help so if you need anything, let us know.

    Hi Discodave,

I am sorry to hear that the battery isn’t lasting very long on your new phone.

As Astraeus has mentioned, some smartphones do run out of battery quicker than other devices purely because of the capabilities they offer.

If you would like me to call you so we can talk about it in more detail, reply to our most recent email and I will get in touch.

    Many thanks,

    Heidi

Well after my tribulations with Vodafone, i have now left and gone to 3, but I have to say that Lee from the team here has dealt with all outstanding issues and has refunded some payments, to my satisfaction.

The team on here have restored Vodafone's reputation and will be back on my list for next renewal (whichever of my 3 phones is due).

    Hi real1314,

Thanks for updating the thread to confirm that I'd been in touch and that everything has now been resolved for you.

Although it's disappointing to know that you're now with a different provider there is consolation in the knowledge that your faith in us has been restored following my intervention here and that you'll consider rejoining us in the future.

    Best wishes,

    Lee

  • I have been with vodafone for about 7 years and find that their customer service is getting worst each year,my problem was with my home phone through vodafone@home that has now transferred services to plus net. I have 4 mobile contracts with them and as soon as the contracts end i will be off, its a shame as their coverage is about the best around my area. But i will not be mistreated on principle.
  • Does anyone know if you can get special deals on pay monthly contracts at Vodafone shops?
I want a certain phone but the contract is a little expensive, i was wondering as i dont need all the minutes this pay plan has can i downgrade these and get any money off the monthly price?

Hi Heidi, I thanked you to soon, my February bill is wrong have sent you another mail..........cheers

Hi heidi, thanks for all your help re our billing problems, unfortunately yet again the bill is wrong, March bill is visible on line and guess what the March Bill for mrs.s. is wrong.

Im sure neither of us can work out what on earth is going wrong at Vodafone, but we are so glad we are only on a years contract, cannot see us renewing with Voda as having to check our bills every month to correct Voda errors is beyond a joke

Can you sort again for us, lets hope Mr b's. bill in a couple of days is right!!!!, have emailed you again.......cheers
