Rosa - I've never been a DMs fan, but those are actually lovely :)

Buffy - great news on the reliable skirts & either pledge to get in to other stuff by your holiday or ... ebay them :D

I'm doing a clothes swap over this weekend and will be ruthless

Pile for bin, charity shop and ebay alongside ones to keep - then will take them to the shop this week alongside the rest of the pile that's ready to go.

£45.42 on this dress - was it worth it? What do you think? It looks lovely on so at this point its a keeper. Think I'll wear it with my birkis this summer

FUAS, I like that dress. If it looks good on, and feels good on, keep it. Wear it today and try to wear it once per week with different stuff to see what different styles you can do with it.
PS: That colour would look dreadful on me :)

am too nervous to amend my signature as I went a little retail crazy. must remember to try things on as I keep thinking I am a size 12 but in reality erring more on size 14 with my bootilicious self. the old trick of I will lose weight to get into this must be removed from my mind as I have a wardrobe of things my thinner self can wear and nothing actual for real present self to wear. lots are going back will amend the signature on tuesday once the refunds are processed and my cards given to my sister for safekeeping. am loving the forum folks keep up the good works x roll on the sunshine

    Why thank you kaz!

Think I am going to keep it as it fits great and looks lovely on. Might even wear it to go shopping tomorrow for a trial run with some birkinstocks to dress it down a bit

Why not avoid the shopping and go to the park/ pub/ beach/ somewhere else fab with your swanky dress and your birkies? Unless you're not clothes shopping of course :)
Whilst you're wearing your dress, have a think about cost per wear. You'll be amazed by how this drops drastically when you wear it more than a few times. My dress I bought last Saturday is now down to a CPW of £15 which will drop to £11.25 on Monday when we go out. I aim for it to be a mere £1 CPW at the end of the summer :D

Fab dress Fedup - looks very comfy & floaty.

It would look completely wrong on me as Daphne & Delores ruin any kind of drapy thing :(.

Excellent advice on the Cost Per Wear Kaz2904 - I seem to either have stuff that costs mere pennies as I gleaned them from ebay in the first place & have worn them loads ... or stuff that is still in double £ figures as it' gets out so rarely.

Partly because I suffer from the same size delusion as misselvis & partly because I suffer from lifestyle delusion too :rotfl:

Really need to get over this :wall:

    Same here Lula,

I wear my cheap stuff over and over again non stop until it fades or falls apart. Then my expensive stuff gets worn once or twice tops. Rally trying to change this and wear what I have

That's why I'm still deciding about the dress - yes it fits, yes it looks nice, will I wear it? More than once? That's the question

  • Right at the end of the big clear out I have a bag of stuff that went to the charity shop, half a bag of possible holiday clothes (providing I lose wieght) and some fairly decent skirts.

I do have fat arms and fat tummy tho..........so much of the summer wardrobe is dependent on one of two things 1) fat arms being fashionable or 2) me getting some cans of Beans and doing some serious working out!

Tomorrow the big clear out continues with the Chest of Drawers...............................Black t shirt anyone?

    Nevertheless she persisted.
