Crazy 2011 clothes challenge

Ok Rosa,
I'm off to find these fab summer coats you are swooning over.
Definitey use the £10 off deal, it's called 'justification'
Kerrigt - I dont have room in my wardrobe & drawers for both sets of clothes & they are very different, I have lighter textures eg cotton cardies & tops in summer, rather than wool in winter. I also dont wear summery print skirts, tops or dresses in winter. I dont wear long sleeved dark coloured tops in summer, or high leg boots. Well, rarely anyway.
Most importantly, it makes me feel as though I have a new set of clothes to wear. Last summer really wasnt that hot so I actually didnt wear some stuff I had bought so it will be a treat for this year
Obviously, if you're one of those people that has to have the latest 'fashion' items every month/season, then this wont work for you, but if I like an item & know it works for me & my style then I keep it & wear it, whether it's current fashion or not. I'm not about fashion, I'm about being me & wearing what I like /feel comfortable & confident in & sod what anyone else thinks. Sometimes I throw on loads of accessories & really get an outfit together. Other times I just throw on the clothes & dont bother with the rest. Just depends how the mood takes me & that's how I roll

Oh sweetie, sorry to hear that :grouphug:
Doctor Lula prescribes some fabby new CHEAP nail polish or lippie & some good quality choccie to give yourself a boost. Think of this as an opportunity to reinvent yourself.
Take care of you & indulge a little bit. ( No mammoth clothes splurges though, you'll only regret it as anything bought will become your 'breakup outfit' & it will make you sad. You should only buy cheap disposable stuff so you can throw it away when ready to move on)

Well one of them is going to have to go back at least temporarily 'cos I'd rather have the Most Fabulous vintage dress I bought today. Made rookie mistake of going in local hire and vintage shop and exited with gorgeous velvet 1950's/60s dress that fits like it was made for me :j and is the most fabulous colour :j. It's a size smaller than the label suggests and an unusual cut which actually fits my Bravissimo-style shape :j - the shop assistants all commented to each other when I tried it on as it's lovely but apparently hadn't worked on most people. OK so I now can't wear it for 6 months til we get winter again but it's so fab I don't care.

sorry to hear that - I support Lula's wise words and also suggest no major haircut decisions until in recovery.

I've decided to return the belt I bought, so that saves me £20. In the past I'd have kept it cos it's 'ok', but I've decided I really need to love or need something to warrant keeping it!MayGC:£118/£360 April:£283

Just made same decision about coats. Ultimately I like them but it's because they are as close to liking 'smart' clothes as I'm going to get. And I don't definitely need them, so they're going back. Going to keep fab dress and get some trousers I wanted instead - they will get much more wear and be much more loved.

Thanks Lula. I think with me I tend to wear lots of the same clothes in winter and summer (esp last year when it was so rubbish) I hate being too bundled up so tend to wear the same t-shirts/tops etc under cardis all year round. I also don't really have anywhere to store clothes that aren't in season.
I'm not into fashion that doesn't suit me - however, have you noticed that some fashions come round again and again? I bought a red stripy vest top the summer before last from NL in an 'ode to nautical' seems nautical was also 'in' last summer...and this :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
