  • WELLLLLLL looks like I need to also include a gorgeous first date outfit in my splurge on Sunday as im single again :( men who'd have em :(
Sorry to hear about this NGlady2, Lula and others have given some sound advice too - take care of yourself and we are all here for you if you need to "sound off":)

Well I thought I took my gift card DD2 gave me for New Look into town with me yesterday but obviously I didn't as I could flaming find it - swear I put it in my handbag before I left.

Anyway I still had £25 from my lovely Dad he gave me for my birthday in Feb - can't believe I have not used it all as most of my bday money went to my dentist for my crown, but I honestly haven't seen anything I liked - well up until now.

I have got in the next three months, an evening wedding reception, my DD1 graduation and my best friends 40th bday weekend away in London - so I wanted something I could possibly wear for all three (I know I don't ask my clothes to work much do I?)

Anyway i have been browsing - tried a few things on but I have found "it" and its a really pretty 50's style dress form Mat**an - anyone seen it? It's a bright poppy ish pattern of reds greys and whites. Just loved it and it fits!

Was worried about the price tag -until I realised it said £18 instead of the £30-£50 I thought it was going to say- and that was full price :T.Even better when I paid there was 20 percent off so came to grand total of £14.40!
So I still had at this point £10.60 B'day money and £10 gift card left(if I can find it)

Then in afternoon I took DD1 and DD3 out to a vintage shop that's relocated down the road near to us - DD1 knows the owners so had promised to go on their opening day and with Mum being the only car owner guess I had to go there too - and it would have been rude not to look round .

Oh boy do I love vintage shops - but I stayed restrained as my two DD's were trying on jumpsuits, dresses, shorts tops,shoes,hats- but the lovely owner had made tea and cake so I just sat and watched and chatted - but just before we were leaving I spied a very spangly gold sequined shrug - so light and pretty - had to try it on - and it was a whole £3 - but again opening offer of 20 percent discount brought it down to £2.40! So yes I bought it as intentions are to wear it with my poppy dress one time - so my B'day money and gift card now totals at £18.20 .

Wonder if I can get shoes, handbag and accessories, maybe a cardie out of that:cool:.

Anyway I decided to have a "spangle Sunday" and wore my new gold sequined shrug over a white vest top and jeans with my last years gold sandals - well I thought why not?:rotfl:

still on a bra hunt! never had so much trouble getting new bras:(The Boux avenue ones went back and i ordered 4 from Figleaves two of which fit and the other two are going back:(but at least they let you have a different style as a replacement so will get Freya rio in black as the beige one I have is a good fit.Have alwaysed raved about Figleaves just peachy range but the one I just bought does not fit:(

went shopping in Harrogate and tried on a perfect skirt in East(well perfect in the style/clolour)trouble is the 16 was falling off my hips whilst the 14 was a little tight on the tummy(too many cakes at Bettys tea shop!)also it was full price £67:eek::eek::eek::eek:so am waiting to lose more weight and for price to fall as they always do after a few weeks:)

spotted 4 newts in the pond yesterday.amazed as they are usually so hard to see and only found 2 in twenty years and never seen any inpond swimming!

Hi Ladies :) I have spent (most of) today reading this thread :D. I mentioned it earlier on the toiletries thread too and someone asked if I was going to join up. I think I might follow along for the rest of the year but don't think I'll join in with a figure at present. I need some cropped jeans or trousers this year but not sure where to get decent ones from. Will have a look around when the kids go back to school next week (for 10 minutes!).
Funnily enough though, I did post pics of my capsule wardrobe the other day as we were discussing clothes shopping. The only thing I have which is not shown in that post was a pair of pj's from M&S which were buried underneath all of my bedding in the chair as I'd stripped the bed earlier in the day. I also bought a new dress in Bath at the weekend.
I hope you all like my clothes.......
Tried to copy across all the pics but it wasn't working so here's the link to my original post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=42949508&postcount=1001
Total wardrobe cost including coats but not shoes is £430 ish. I may do shoes one day too ;).

    Morning ladies & welcome to Kaz2904 :D

I know you're not 'official' - yet ;), but thanks for posting the pics of your capsuel wardrobe. It's amazingly restrained :T. My day frocks alone run into double figures :o

As for shoes ... I'm currently coveting these beauties :

Ah, I love shoes :) but I have to try and have a modicum of sensibility because I do not love uncomfortable shoes :). I have a pair of Kurt Geiger shoes which are just ridiculous and impractical but I love 'em :). They are the reason my lovely dress got ripped though, because DH and his mates decided we were moving from one pub to another which was at the other end of the sea front. I declined to walk and DH grabbed me in a piggy back when I wasn't expecting it which ripped the hem of my dress.

I do have a very lovely pair of white cork wedge sandals, very 50's and I love 'em. They were £8 from Asda would you believe and they are leather.
I'm not sure how many pairs of shoes I have but I feel the need to check now ;)
