I paid a visit to Next the other day, and bought myself a few things....
I hadn't reported it until now, as I was feeling guilty and considering taking some of it back! :o
Anyway, I have added the cost of those things I have already worn to my signature, taking me up to £96.40 spent/£240. I also bought a lovely pair of sandals for £35, but I am still considering taking them back as I really don't need them, and have not yet added on that cost. They were a bit of an impulse buy, as it is unusual to see something I like in store in my size (I am a size 8) so I grabbed them quickly without really thinking too much about it! I feel a bit annoyed with myself as I had done really well so far this year, and had not bought things that weren't planned.

Oh well, I suppose the fact that I am still thinking about it is a good thing! And if I decide to keep the sandals, it will be because I REALLY want them! :p

I returned the 2 dresses today and am waiting for a refund. I'm declaring the £45.12 for the coral dress even though I am still deciding about it. I reckon I will keep it and if now I'll return it and add the money back to the budget

Plus one pair of birkinstocks at £19.99 still deciding if the other pair fits properly but my right foot hurts too much at the moment and will decide later on.

New total stands at £133.86/£250  £116.14 left
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

Ah, FUAS, I thought you meant you already had this dress in your posession! I suppose if it's a returnable item then it could change peoples opinions?
I still think, CPW, can you make it work for you? If you reckon that you can really get the value from it then you go for it.
As for Birkies, always wanted a pair but they are awful for your feet. The foot bed design is great but the lack of any support from the top of the shoe is terrible. They are also too wide for me.
I'm a bit fanatical about everyday shoes being supportive for your feet. Seen too many people with plantar fasciitis :(

Oh no, another ailment for me to google & worry about :(

I have a pair that were a gift & find them very comfortable ... but I do tend to live in bare feet in the summer when at home. Nothing beats feeling warm earth & grass under your toes :)

Re CPW - I wore my ebay Dotty Ps dress again today for the 2nd time this week - looks great over shorts & only cost £3 originally :)

I love warm grass :) barefoot outside is good for your feet. It's the artificial flat surfaces that are the problem. You need a shoe which is going to support your foot at the bottom and stay on your foot without your clothes having to go claw like.
Those awful little dolly shoes are terrible. Nothing to the sole at all. If you look at people wearing them, they are so low cut that the foot is spilling out over the side of the shoe because it can't sit right in it. Crocs are bad too for the same. Flip flops make you claw your toes up.
The thong style on Birkies should stop that but as I say too wide for my feet :( DD had some in that type of sandal when she was 4 and they were lush. So comfy for her and no scrunchy toes. She could run around without slipping sideways or the sandal coming off. Sadly, I haven't seen any as good for her since. Last year she was so desperate for a pair of sandals she settled on a pair of granny sandals for school for her because they were the only ones we saw which she wouldn't kill herself in or wreck her feet in.
The birkenstock Mayari should be good and supportive too for your feet but again slop around on my skinny feet :) I had to settle for a similar style from Clarks in the end and sadly, they don't have them this year which means when mine do die in a couple of years, I will struggle to replace them again :(

Second everything you say Kaz2904 - wear the right shoe for the right occasion and even as a adult go and get your feet measured when you buy shoes - we all jump up at going to get a bra fitting but we almost always forget about getting our feet measured as adults for shoes.
