Well my Freedom Week wear today was a black Oasis skirt, black tights and boots, mint v-neck jumper which I've not worn for ages and a black/green/silver Oasis necklace which I've never worn before. Also my green coat, I then decided to take the mac back to Matalano as I'm really not happy with it. Showed OH it tonight and usually when he likes something he tells me how nice it looks but he didn't appear bowled over. So back it goes.

Not sure about tomorrow, OH has been down tonight so not had time to rummage. Might wear black skirt and boots again with a different top.
  • My freedom week is going going rather badly!

Monday - black skirt, black top PURPLE vest top
Tuesday - black skirt, black top, black vest top
Wednesday - (brace yourself!) Grey skirt, black top black vest top
Thursday - anyone want to take a guess??:rotfl:

Any how upshot of this is that I have 6 black skirts and about 50 million black tops and at least a 100 million vest tops..............(the drawer appears to be trying take over the world currently:o)

I hate clothes shopping and so every so often I go on line to M and S and buy their standard black tops and any black skirts they have. Net result ? I look the bloody same all they time!!!

    ho hum

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • My Freedom Monday was great. I wore a dress I was about to get rid of as I thought it didn't fit (tried it on again and it did fit!). Teamed it with a wide belt and a cardie that hadn't seen the light of day for 2 years, and it looked lovely. It's amazing how you can change the look of an outfit with accessories. I'm usually too lazy.

Just found a cache of clothes that I left at my OH's a while ago, so they feel almost new and I'll be 'shopping' from them this week.

rosemary54 - don't be too upset by the woman in the changing room - we're not all like that! I would have smiled and said thanks. :D

    Morning all :)

Just a quick update - spends are still £36 something pence :) I did have a jewellery order with debenhams on order, but theyve emailed me to say unable to forfill order :D YAY. God how the difference a lttle challange makes, normally id be upset and sending a snotty email to their customer services lol :) Also how it changes your attitude that in the past you wouldnt think twice about spending 36 quid on clothes but now you are thinking hard do I need it, will I wear it, do I realllly want it :) May have £10 to take off that budget cos im thinking of returning something that doesnt fit and buying a birthday gift with it, thats allowed isnt it? :)

I feel your pain Buffy, I actually have two black Oasis skirts exactly the same (got both in the sale) also got two grey skirts. And for the second day in a row, I'm wearing my black skirt and boots but this time with a black and white stripe shirt, black long cardi and I've added a red skinny belt to the skirt - skirt has belt loops and it looks rather nice. I was asked, just when I came if I had lost weight which was nice, except I haven't. Must be the outfit, ha!
  • Buffy, I'm exactly the same! It's great to have a challenge to try to make us wear our own clothes that we have spent our own money on!

Right, confession. Last week I went in to Tesco to buy a sandwich on my way to work and accidentally bought some underwear. I didn't declare it before as I realised I'd bought the wrong size so I've waited until I'd done the exchange yesterday. Anyway, I got 2 bras and a pair of knickers for £10, which was half price. It was really hard to leave without buying some really nice Valentine-y stuff. I'm still thinking about it!

So that's £10 on my total spends. Off to update sig!

I knew how it would be! Went to the giant M&S this morning with my DS, and they have the petite range back! I had to look, and ended up buying a pink cardi with a matching s/s top and a navy cardi. They're all summer weight, so I probably won't wear them for ages unless the weather does something unexpected. I don't work, but the two places I volunteer are freezing at the moment and I just wear layers of warm stuff, so no chance for any liberating.

I did split a £5 voucher with my Sis, so that's £47.50 off the allowance.

  • Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted in a while.

First of all, I have spends to declare:

    Nica bag £12
    Three scarves from Primark £8
Navy pencil skirt from Primark £5
Assorted patterned tights from Primark £3
Green suede/patent flat shoes from Boden £27

    Total: £55
Cumulative Total: £79 out of £200. And it's only February!!

Keep up the chat, ladies, I love reading it! Thanks to this thread and the toiletries one, I have absolutely no compulsion to buy magazines anymore- these threads make much better reading!
