I declare that I've spent £40.79 between Friday and today! Started a new temp job yesterday and now also have the peril of city centre shops to contend with at lunch time!

So, I have bought M&S black smart trousers £10.80 (had a 10% off voucher), purple and black stripy long sleeved top from Dorothy Perkins for £10, scarf from Primark for £3 - grey with pink flowers and £16.99 on some black shoes from New Look for work.

I did definitely need the trousers and shoes for work as don't have that much smart stuff due to my last job being in a warehouse. Even though I said I wanted to lose the weight I put on over xmas before buying anything else! :o

My sister has also given me a couple of smart jackets for work and some t-shirts, which is great!

Will try not to buy anything in February...

How did Freedom Tuesday go? I wore a new rather luxuorious pair of tights which I now think were a bit too nice for work but hey, surely its better to wear them than not? I can't even remember when I bought them! Also a new pair of earrings, a necklace not worn for a year or so and different coat

Not sure what I'll be wearing tomorrow but will have a shuffle around in the wardrobe to see alongside some different jewellry and maybe some different shoes

I wore a black shift dress and black cardi - then added my 'freedom' items, a green patterned silk scarf and a pale lime coat :D

Well you all knew that I would, but I did go to Matalano after work tonight to look for the coat I seen, needless to say I couldn't find it.

I did buy this however. It's a lovely rain mac BUT I'm toying with the idea of taking it back, as sleeves are really badly sewn, like they're not straight, and the lining hangs down IYSWIM. What is wrong with me? I've got loads of jackets and coats and although this will go with loads of things, I will repeat, I have loads of jackets and coats.

I even walked around for half an hour - I'm sure the security people must have thought I was casing the joint. I still bought it though and now I'm  with myself.

Your coat sounds lovely SG, infact everyone's outfits sound fab - I need Gok'd.

If you're not 100% happy with the coat, take it back and save the £ for something better :A

I'm about your age Rosemary and I think it depends how short it is. How about over skinny or straight jeans. Wore pair of stripped trousers today from charity shop a few months back, but I don't think stripped trousers are fashionable at them moment are they? They are lovely and comfy though.
it is about 5 inches above the knee so not too outragous:rotfl:I am frustrated as started to wear shorter skirts last year but now magazines are saying longer is back in(takes me a while to catch up:rotfl:)the dress did look good over trousers but thought I could wear it in different ways, maybe over thick coloured tights/leggings.
watched Gok last night...mmmmmm so just cut sleeves out of jackets and wear without even neatening raw edges:eek:(plus sleeves dont come out that easily:rotfl:)wish they would do outfots for older/shorter/fatter women the girls he uses would look great in a bin bag!

he did say orange is in which is good as it is one of my colours and could go well with new grey dress(just need a new bag etc etc etc to go with it:rotfl:)
I went into next yesterday as had some vouchers BUT everything was pink(def not my colour)or beige/black and looked very dull :(
