    I did it, I did it :j:j

I'm wearing my black linen trews (again) with black cami and black cardigan and my red shoes and a black/grey/red necklace.

I purposefully didn't wear my black driving shoes so that I would have to keep these on all day. I wore my light grey short jacket and it looks ok so I will not be making the planned shopping trip for a black coat (I seen one in Matalan for £20).

I've had two comments already, one about my necklace – said it was nice, and the other about my shoes – they are now officially my Dorothy shoes, ha!

Seen someone else in work with red shoes on, it must be catching!

  • Johnsons' do a Premier Club thing which is only £9 a year by direct debit and you get loads of offers - mine has already paid for itself many times over as I got winter coats and duvets cleaned on 2-for-1. Might be worth a look if there is anything you do need dry cleaning.

Any room to prop one up? I have an Ikea one which was about £15 and it just leans up against the wall. (Couldn't find a cheval one I liked and would take up more space anyhow.)

My bedroom is in the roof so lots of slope-y walls and all the tall flat ones are taken up with thing like doors and windows! So proping space and hanging space is the same thing. I have a vintage oval (£7.50 from a charity shop, fits nicely next to the slope!) one that does about waist up, but is a pain for trousers etc.

Will check out the Johnson thing though, so thanks for that

Well done you Swinstie! Lovely to get compliments too, although I warn you, once you get a reputation in work (like I do :p) for wearing unusual things nobody will bat an eyelid!

forgot to say before I have a swival mirror on the landing that I use to see how clothes look and I can move it into bedroom when having a bit try on.
bought the Lakeland dry clean stuff...5 sheets cost £10 ,already got the Svit bag so will use that.

went shopping today(so much for frugal feb!)but came out of most shops empty handed of clothes(tolietries tho are a different matter):rotfl:

did buy a short dress?tunic from Phase eight down from £69 to £39 and I had a £9 gift card so £30 off my total please.
had to choose between red or grey and after trying both several times decided the grey would be more useful so will wear for my lunch out on thursday

I've just found a way to get new clothes without spending!! This weekend I got out the mending/ironing basket from the laundry cupboard and mended/ironed (sometimes both!) most of the stuff in it. Some were skimpy tops from the summer! The wardrobe is pretty full now, and there are some thing I haven't worn in ages! Almost as good as new things.

Someone on here mentioned defuzzing their clothes. That's a really good idea, I know I've one of those machines somewhere - I'll look for it and see if I can revive some old jumpers.

    Nothing spent yet this year.
    Amazing!
But going to Giant M&S with my sis on Thursday . Will try to be good, but may be lost if they have any Petites.

    Hi everyone

this thread moves sooooo fast. Ive only just read the last couple of pages.

I'm happy to report that my budget is still fully intact!!:A Have not bought any clothes yet for 2011. Still working on my body a bit before I treat myself to some nice new clothes.

At the moment I'm living in my jeans and big jumpers. It's still a bit chilly up here in Scotland, luckily I don't have to flash any flesh yet:rotfl:, but when I do, it should be a bit less and a lot more toned.

I'm about your age Rosemary and I think it depends how short it is. How about over skinny or straight jeans. Wore pair of stripped trousers today from charity shop a few months back, but I don't think stripped trousers are fashionable at them moment are they? They are lovely and comfy though.
