    Hi all...

*Comes with her head hung very... very low*

As mentioned the other day, I purchased a dress from newlook - but returned it due to it getting bobbly after one wash. Whether this was to do with the side bag I was using I don't know! But anyhow... couldnt exchange yesterday so went in today to another store who had it in stock.

Did return the £16 skirt brought from Primark which has been declared, also returned a £19 jumper dress from a couple of weeks ago. so this along with the dress I brought but it didnt count - I did have "credit" of £61.99

So... I decided to treat myself to one more dress. This was a little bit of a target to loose a little bit of weight before my holiday in May, does fit but slightly on the tight side.

All very well you'd think - use the £15 off £60 voucher, and get out of there... but oh no...

I then saw a black dress - i've never owned a gorgeous black dress before, and was looking for something a little sophisticated yet not too formal to wear for a casual valentines dinner, but also needed something to wear in a couple of weeks when I go for a girlie lunch with my best friend in London :)

So to be able to use the voucher £10 - off £40 spend. I brought a tee-shirt which i failed to try on :(

Also made quite a large error. I had to make the transaction up by £5 on the £60 spend one, but I put the socks I did this was through on the wrong one.. so ended up having to buy a face mask at £0.99 (waste as i dont use them!) and another batch of £4 socks :(

So I now have a couple of spring dresses and my valentines outfit sorted :)

but I do have to declare a further spend of: £18.96 - making my total as £34.96 so far. Ok so perhaps not too killar bad - but still bad enough. Need to have at least two weeks now of zilch clothes buying.

    Do have a question tho!!

Because I used vouchers on both transactions - I am now stuck with a £11.99 top - that doesnt fit. I have seen a hoodie I quite like in the store. Would it be easier to have 'lost' the receipt as it was full price and do an exchange? Also could potentially offset this £11.99 to be spent on my sisters birthday pressie... which would push money spent on clothes down a little :S

Also - on a transaction which required £40 to be spent, it worked out at £44.95 - I have far too many socks as it is but I brought them for easiest to make up my voucher. Would they accept £4 return on socks? Maybe thats a question for Ellie(?) If they do this would take it down to £30.96 spent :D

Anyway - here endth the essay!!

Freedom monday tomorrow - shall wear my purple heels :)
  • HOPE U WENT WITH THE PURPLE SHOES!!!

Im being boring for my Monday - wearing my hair in a bobble for Body pump class, (havent worn my bobble for about 2yrs - does it count??) pulling my hair SOOOO hard that I look like ive had a drastic facelift - doing it for comedy factor as i will giggle every time I see myself in the mirror!!!! lol!!

Not expecting any spends today.. have to go into work to do end of Year accounts.. had taken stuff home over the weekend cos I had "lost" £20 somewhere...... but think Ive managed to "find" it!!!!

HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYBODY XXX

spending today doing the housewifely bit and catching up after busy (but good)weekend went to see the King,s speech(just as good as everyone said it was)then on sunday 90th birthday lunch and dancing at night:):):)
so clothes not very exciting today BUT I am wearing a round necked white t shirt under a black with white print ls top due to the weather..........it has been so cold that the usual v necked tops are leaving me with cold boobs even with a vest? cami result new look and warm boobs :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:did want to wear the jeans I bought months ago but can't due to health reasons:rotfl:I have psoriasis which is always very bad in the cold(my excuse for a holiday in march in Tenerife:j)my problem is small hips /large waist,if I had bought the size 14 jeans they would fall down whilst gardening but the size 12s are tight on the waist and rub my skin too much to bear in the cold so they remain unworn(actually the only item now)in the wardrobe
may go shopping tomorrow as not been to town for ages and have some Christmas vouchers left so won't eat into my budget if i see anything left in the sales!

Out to a lunch on thursday (luckily DH is off to his works Christmas dinner that night......in feb cos cheaper and no OHs allowed this year!)so will try and do a wardrobe shop for that....mostly older ladies who always look smart to sit with and am being picked up and taken so heels could emerge:rotfl::rotfl:as not far to walk

Well I've failed in my Freedom Monday quest! Am wearing black linen wide leg trousers, black cami and a red cardi. I was supposed to wear red shoes, actually they are currently sitting in a carrier bag under my desk as I was too scared to wear them - got black ones on! Problem is that we now have loads of new people on our floor, you know young girlies with skinny figures and perfect clothes and shoes and I feel too self-conscious to wear them incase I look silly. Silly, I know, maybe one day.

Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!

I've been ill and so haven't done any ironing and the clothes choice in my wardrobe was quite limited so it was a freedom Monday by default really! Wearing a jumper and skirt from white stuff I don't wear very much not sure why as I love them.

Can feel another wardrobe declutter coming on - I was standing there going, don't like that, don't want to wear that etc!

    Hi Lula

Well I hope I'm not too late to join in for this year! I've found up the details from the challenge I did in 2009 to remind me of what was included and what wasn't! I'd like to stick at £100 please as I think that is very achievable, so please add me to the list!

    Thanks! QB xx

maybe we could have a wear red shoes day?:rotfl:(I have 2 pairs, sandals type)
chose clothes for tomorrow to go to town and thought I'd home dry clean my trousers plus 3 other items.used last of the Svit and went to order more from tesco but not on the website.I googled it and found it had been discontinued years ago:(:(:(Lakeland have a sim (but apparently not so good ) version so will try and get that tomorrow, its nearly £10 so not cheap but guess its better than paying for dry cleaning.

p.s clothes for tomorrow black linen trousers, black t shirt and lilac shrug, should wear with black leather jkt but if still cold fashion will lose out and will wear red parka:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
