  • Why don't we set up a mini challenge of wearing a new pair or forgotten pair, or just worn once pair of shoes/boots once a week?

I fall into the trap of wearing the same pair over and over again and again and then forget about the other pairs that are tucked away in the wardrobe

    I like it fedup
When I sorted through my boots and shoes I was shocked how many I have and even returned 3 pairs that I'd bought in the sale because I didn't think I needed more of the same...:rotfl:
I've a lovely pair of brown boots I've had a couple of years and not wanted to wear in case they get ruined :o

I wear all my shoes, certainly never the same pair twice in one week :p However, when it comes to clothes that's another story - stick to the same tried and tested outfits all the time :o

    Hi Everyone!
Just found this thread and I love it. Can I join too? My job has become very unreliable, and my income slashed, My husband job is secure but we will really miss the money I was bringing in! However, we must rise to the challenge and find ways to economise. I have always gone to Jumble Sales and CAr Boot sales to get clothes. BUT, have bought in the sales to give my wardrobe a boost. This year I bought some cheap jewelery from Mand S and two pairs of pants! Also I am losing weight and gone from a size 16 to size 14 I have got all my new trousers from car boots and jumbles. I am aiming to be a size 12 and so it is mot woth spending too much anyway.
However even when I get to size 12 I intend to sell all my ols stuff in a car boot and get my new wardrobe from jumbles and car boots again. So I am setting myself the £100 pond challenge! I will try and do this for my husband too!
    Thanks for everyone else ideas.

Hi all, I'm up for the wearing un-worn shoes and handbags on a Monday, need to start from 31st Jan for me though as still signed off work with this flu bug, yuk!

I should do fine as whilst I've been off, been having a clear out and I've found 36 handbags and 60+ shoes/boots/trainers/sandals. Definitely at 62 pairs but I know for sure I've got a fair few pairs of summer sandals in my suitcase in the loft! Ridiculous amount to have which is why I'm on this thread, ha!

don't overdo the sorting while you're still recuperating
I really enjoyed being on this forum while I was off - it was quite nice company and gave me something to think about other than how unwell I felt!
    hope you do too :D

Hello & welcome to frizz2 :hello:

Well done you for diving straight in to the £100 challenge :A

I now feel very under-bagged ... I only have 6 :( although I do have a few more seriously underused clutch type ones that are pretty & used as a kind of decoration :o

I havent done a shoe count recently, it's on my list of things to do before the end of the month. I gave away 2 pairs of hardly worn boots & a lovely pair of sandals to my sis & DD1 but still have 6 pairs of boots not including the pair I keep in the boot (ha ha sorry :o) of my car for emergencies.

I do actually wear them all though as that's all I wear in winter, dont do shoes at all.

Off to add frizz2 to the loony list on page 1 :D
