Crazy 2011 clothes challenge
Comments

I was doing really well - I went into town and resisted going in loads of shops, only bought a bra for the bargain price of £1 in M&S.
But then I had a major stressful journey, stopped at ASDA on the way back home and ended up buying a cardigan for £12.50.
So now i'm on the slippery slope I hope that this will be all to declare for a few more weeks.
So £13.50 needs to be taken off my £100 limit.
Well done to those who still haven't bought anything!0 -
I like the look of that slip Southern Sadie. Do you find you feel hot in it though (me being a lady of a certain age)?0

I also like the look of that slip!CC debt: £0/£9 0000

Looks very impressive Southern Sadie - but I need feedback on ur 1st full day of wearing it... need to know if it does a bit of Gravity travelling!! - Hope not @ £25!!! - looks a very good bit of "kit" and can see why it will become one of ur Staples! - LUVVERLY!

Declaring my first spends, took back a couple of pairs my mum had bought me that aren't very practical to M&S (lacy patterned ones) and got a £7.50 credit note as one wasn't a current pair I don't think.
Then went and got a thick woolly pair of tights for £6 and two sets of PJs for £9.50 each, was trying to get some before Christmas but they'd only got tiny and big sizes left of the Christmas ones, these are new stock I think.
Used the credit note so £17.50 to declare.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
Initial Mortgage free date - January 2058
Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98

Is it far too late for me to join in?
I am going to give myself £1000 until end of the year. I know its an awful lot, but its got to include EVERYTHING shoes/underwear/tights etc - anything extra I may need has to be brought by selling something etc. I tried to do much less last year and failed miserably, in fact I kinda gave up lol.
So £90 a month - should be plenty
I am going to start the challange from payday on the 28th thoughas thats when my financial to financial month starts and ends
Another thing I need to sort out is my eating out... anybody know of a thread for that? I think me and my OH has spent a couple of hundred this monthy on food outnot good!!!

Hi girls,
glad to see everyone is sharing their spends & cravings.
Happy New Clothes & Shoes to all who have them :j
Thanks for the links to various slips & pretties. Yes, niccatw - I now have a pretty Victorias Secret chemise on its way to me ... will declare it as a definite spend when it's arrived & been tried on.
I'm rather glad I had to send the gorgeous red shoes back; whilst having a tidy up in my room, I discovered the pair I bought just a few months ago & had forgotten about.
More tidying is needed I think, might discover more forgotten treasures0 -
Welcome NGlady2,
never too late to join, will add you to the list. How about Old Style board for food shopping, I think they run a monthly Grocery Challenge & they have loads of ideas for stretching your meals0 -
Hi Lula, thanks for the welcome
Im lucky, I live at home, but me and my OH have a passion for food! We tend to spend an awful lot on eating out etc. I have set us a target of £50 from 28th Jan to 28th Feb... which will hopefully give what im hopeing for, an improvementill never be a thrift bunny but a £5 saving is 1.2% of my holiday lol

Why don't we set up a mini challenge of wearing a new pair or forgotten pair, or just worn once pair of shoes/boots once a week?
I fall into the trap of wearing the same pair over and over again and again and then forget about the other pairs that are tucked away in the wardrobefinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
