just had a thought!(if DH were here he would suggest I went and had alie down till I felt better:rotfl:)
on the toiletries challenge I put £1 in a tin for every full size use up and then the money goes towards treats like the facial I had yesterday. If I did the same with clothes throw outs(charity bags etc) then that money could go into my pot to buy new clothes:):):):)0 -

LOL should have explained I was thinking something like this http://www.marksandspencer.com/Marks-and-Spencer-Mobile-Office/dp/B003FWSL9M?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_1&nodeId=42966030&sr=1-1&qid=1295472781&pf_rd_r=1NANN9D3ZH7J06P3BV5B&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=215485807&pf_rd_s=center-3 or the sexy but rather expensive red patent version that for some reason isn't on their website.
Though I much prefer the man optionjust a bit harder to find available versions of those that I like!
TKMaxx is a good plan Lula, might pop by there tomorrow lunchtime.I suppose it's a good thing those beeeyooootiful red shoes that arrived today dont fit. I am utterly desolated as they were even nicer than they looked, perfect in every way except the fitting.
boo.

I signed up for Gift Aid with a couple of the local charity shops and now get a letter telling me how much the items raised. Turns out it's far more than I was giving them by direct debit, so have cancelled those without guilt and the money comes off debts instead.

OK - so today I activated the new CC with 0% interest and transferred over my 2 original CCs balances... it felt good! Then I set up a DD for each month so I dont even have to think about when to pay it.. IM TAKING CONTROL.. by my reckoning that should be paid off in 12mths:j.. and i was good and walked to work so £2 went into my piggybank (cost of parking).. Now I know this isnt about Clothes buying/temptation to buy - but it was bourne out of my good intentions via this Challenge!!!
Hope Everyone is doing good with their challenges xxWish to be out of O/draft by end of 2011 - [STRIKE]£-696.20 Jan'11 [/STRIKE][STRIKE]£633.88 Feb'11[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£-680.21[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Mar'11 £-813.13(its going the wrong way!)[/STRIKE]apr'11 £-660 (given up on this bit.. too depressing!):(Crazy 2011 clothes challenge #81: £270.97/£3000 -

Sounds like a plan. I signed up for Gift Aid with a couple of the local charity shops and now get a letter telling me how much the items raised. Turns out it's far more than I was giving them by direct debit, so have cancelled those without guilt and the money comes off debts instead.

Here to report in on a dress I bought, cost £17.00. Leaves me with £283! I bought a dress today for an event I'm attending hosted by vogue(!!!). I haven't counted that in my spend because I had a win on bingo!0

Oh that's a good idea Rosa, I hadn't even thought of doing that. I don't take a massive amount to the charity shop at the moment though, so I don't think my conscience will let me cancel just yet!

I bought a belt today - marked down at Monsoon but that brings my spend for January to £20 which is well below what I thought it would be... but it can be done!Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

Today I bought 2 Tshirt tops from "Primarni" - £6 Total - not bad going - had to replace stuff that had gone to Recycling (they were pretty done.. will probably end up as bed filling!!!)

Went to take top back to M&S but had to have credit note as couldn't find receipt. Had a look round but resisted buying anything else, but went into Laura Ashley on way back and bought a top reduced to £10! Also bought a hat for £4.00 from charity shop as I was cold. So 14.00 declare.0

Shoes do it for me every time :rotfl::rotfl: Have just ordered a lovely red pair (encouraged by Lula
) but won't declare the spend until they arrive and I decide to keep them
Sometimes I just take my red heels out of the box to look at them, they're sooooooo gorgeous!Southern_Sadie wrote: »I thought I'd try and pick your brains on this. I remember wearing an underskirt under my school uniform as a little girl in the 80s but haven't even seen them for years.
Now I have a few dresses that are quite clingy fabric and show the entire outline of my bra at the back as well as the waistband of my tights. So Im thinking a kind of all-in-one slip underneath the dress might smooth out the lines.
Does anyone wear them and if so, where do you buy them from? Or do you have any other tips for wearing clingy dresses?

Yup, I have a wee satin slip that I've had for years too. It was much longer but I had an aunty with a sewing machine and over locker at the time who transformed it to the right size. (I still have her, but I'm further away now and I have my own sewing machine and overlocker too. NOTE - that doesn't mean I know how to use them!)
My friend texted today to say the wee shop we were in before christmas with the gorgeous dresses (she bought one then, I didn't) have reduced them to £10. She bought two more. And I am really tempted to go into town and have look!
Will I make it throught the weekend!!! :rotfl:Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
