Fedup - I love that idea :) getting something out and getting it worn :) maybe we could make murkey mondays into fun shoe day? :)

I do the same - and with handbags too, got millions of the damn things but use the same one... same with going out clutches, theres always one u always pull out use time and time again then forget it.. get a new one... repeat process.

Why don't we set up a mini challenge of wearing a new pair or forgotten pair, or just worn once pair of shoes/boots once a week?

I fall into the trap of wearing the same pair over and over again and again and then forget about the other pairs that are tucked away in the wardrobe

    Good idea :D

Last year for a whole month I wore a different pair of shoes to work every day. My shoes fetish is a bit of a legend at work & i always try out my news ones there to see the guys reactions. They love high wedges, long boots & platforms, but all absolutely hated gladiator style sandals ... had to endure being called Caesar all day :rotfl:

I dont have the same thing for handbags, when I find one I love, I stick with it. I tend to alternate between just 3.

You go ahead though, if they need to get out, set them free :D

May I join in? I had already decide to cut right down on clothes this year, as I'm buying another flat to let, and this will be a tremendous stretch financially.

I had thought of no new clothes, but I know I'll need to buy tights, socks etc and t-shirts in the summer, so I'm allocating £20 a month, or £240 for the year. This'll be quite a challenge for me as I love the sales!!

I'm hoping that all you lovely posters can show me a whole new way of approaching shopping for clothes and that there will be many new experiences for me in 2011!!

I haven't bought anything yet this year as I've been too ill with a bug, but the year is young, and i feel better now!

Hi Pamylib - of course you can join in :D

At times you may be led to believe that we're all about shopping ... the reality is that were trying to cut down our expenditure by any means. Many are favouring charity shops or ebay & I'm a big fan of dyeing items I'm bored with to give them a bit of extra life.

Will add you to the list right away

  • :D Looks very impressive Southern Sadie - but I need feedback on ur 1st full day of wearing it... need to know if it does a bit of Gravity travelling!! - Hope not @ £25!!! - looks a very good bit of "kit" and can see why it will become one of ur Staples! - LUVVERLY!

Yes we absolutely need a full report of pros and cons :D I can see that being either fantastic or a liability!

On that note, question to you all - what are you recommendations for the most useful/hardworking item in your wardrobe?

I love that idea FUAS. So Monday it is.

I got the Howies final sale email on Friday, and got a little over excited - lots of things I could never quite bring myself to shell out on heavily reduced. Not going to declare until things arrive, fit and are being kept (I'm trying to hide some of my shame). So no spends to declare (yet!)

Today I'm going to make myself a list of the things I want for the forseeable future/wardrobe holes and then see what I can make, and then whatever is left over I will know what I need to plan for, and take advantage of a good deal when it arrives. Or that's the plan :rotfl:Can't ever plan for those love at first sight moments!
