Isn't it so cathartic! I can see in my wardrobe now! And the more I declutter, the more ruthless I become!

Getting rid of it has been a nightmare though! My boot has been full and I've been dividing it between various charity shops and those big clothes bins you get because I was too embarrassed to take it all to the same charity shop!

I still have one of those massive suitcases (big, fabric one that expands, I'm sure I could fit into it if I curled up and I'm 5'3 give or take the heels I'm wearing!) sitting in the hall. I'm contemplating dividing it into smaller bags as I'm still too embarrassed to take it to the charity shop!

Souther Sadie, these will do the trick! Though I have to say mine is much more demure and plain!!! ;) But if matching to what your are wearing, then I had no idea there was so much choice!!! :D

just had a thought!(if DH were here he would suggest I went and had alie down till I felt better:rotfl:)
on the toiletries challenge I put £1 in a tin for every full size use up and then the money goes towards treats like the facial I had yesterday. If I did the same with clothes throw outs(charity bags etc) then that money could go into my pot to buy new clothes:):):):)

I like this idea - in fact I used up something today so off I tootle to find a £ to pop in a pot and wait for it to add up to put towards something later in the year as a nice treat. In fact a facial would be ace as I used to love these but had to cut back on money saving so much this had to go

All this talk of shoes is making me crave some then I remembered all the pairs I have unworn already

Really must wear some and stop wearing the same pair over and over until they fall apart
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

Need to add £16 to mine...for a pair of jeans, pair of jeggings and a shirt....last two in the sale and all from Primark
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.
  • Thanks for all the recommendations on how to deal with clingy dresses! In the end I bought this: http://www.marksandspencer.com/Firm-Control-Body-Solutions-Smoothing/dp/B003X0JA8M?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_1&nodeId=309706031&sr=1-1&qid=1295715845&pf_rd_r=0E1Z7122EV08H77XW6V6&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=309706031&pf_rd_p=215570647&pf_rd_s=related-items-3

which is fantastic and made my dress look so much better. It was more expensive than a simple satin slip but I can already see it becoming a wardrobe staple. I now want the pencil skirt version! I've never liked those knickers that hold you in, but this is great and really comfortable.

So, Lula, I have a spend to declare: £43 at M&S. That's because three pairs of tights somehow also jumped into my basket when my back was turned :o. In my defence, the weather has gone really cold again, and they're the thick woolly ones, so I think they were a necessity. And yesterday I went charity shopping with my sister and didn't buy a leather jacket even though it was only £3 (I was too cold to try it on).

Happy New Clothes to those who've been shopping. Elfen, they were some bargains you got there!

SS, that's why its good to be a bit on the fat side (size 14 but 16 in tops) cos they always get too many in and not enough bigger ones lol
