I also want slip feedback from Sadie! I mainly wear dresses and have been getting fed up with the visible tights line in winter.

Surprisingly, no further spends from me. Have even walked out of Homebase today, when I'd gone in with 15% off voucher promising myself I could have the bedding set I wanted for a treat. Couldn't bring myself to actually buy it and have decided to get plain one instead. Very odd.

I like the wardrobe freedom Mondays idea... will try and dig out something underused for tomorrow.

  • hello to all just an update on my spends - was in my local penneys (primark) and spent 30.00 on a lovely navy and white boat necked top, a cream and red striped jumper and white cardi, lovely nautical clothes for spring/summer which will hopefully arrive!! Have already worn both the cardi and the navy/white top with jeans, so 30.00 E off my 190 = 160.00 left for the Year!!!

Why don't we set up a mini challenge of wearing a new pair or forgotten pair, or just worn once pair of shoes/boots once a week?

I fall into the trap of wearing the same pair over and over again and again and then forget about the other pairs that are tucked away in the wardrobe
Funny you should say that hun, I found 2 pairs yest when cleaning out the sty:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Confessions fo Spends so far!

£46.98 online at New look - 2 vest tops, 4 pairs of shoes, one top,
£10.00 on a pair of deeply sensible shoes. I don't like them but they will be good to walk back from the station. The shame of being out in them will make me walk faster for sure.

    £56.98 so far

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Morning everyone. Love, love, love Freedom Mondays idea! Going to wear something different today, probably with red patent shoes. Have bought a few things in sale but need to add it all up before I declare it. Going on holiday in April and thought I had plenty of clothes but still got tempted by some £15 dresses in Monsoon and Oasis. I think I'm going to stay out of the shops for a while. Oh no, just realised I have to take something back to House of Fraser. Will try to leave with credit note intact!

    Happy fab clothes day!

I've been doing really well wearing different clothes recently and haven't worn jeans to work at all yet this year. Footwear is slightly harder now because I've been going for a walk every lunch time so am wearing sensible boots. I think I need to get myself some trainers to go for my walk in and then I can wear other shoes to work again.

  • Just been going through wardrobe. I've got so much stuff! Been trying to find stuff to ebay but then I decide I like everything. I'm really trying to save to get my finances in order so that I'm not counting the minutes until payday so then I think it's good that I have so much already but also a bit down as I won't have anything new and pretty. I probably need help!

Don't try and deny yourself completely, I always find that goes horribly wrong and you end up splurging worse than you would otherwise.

On the "masses of clothes but don't want to get rid of things" dilema though I also suffer from that. I also don't have that much wardrobe space either, so I have probably 2 thirds of my stuff packed away in suitcases and trunks (under the bed), mostly out of season and posh frocks but also things I'm not using but want to keep.

Having less out means that I have less to rummage through in the morning which helps with decision making and a couple of times a year I get everything out and switch around - you find things you'd forgotten about and re-unite with old friends. Also is quite time consuming so keeps you out of the shops for an afternoon!

  • Decided to wear for Freedom Monday a pair of wool-lined boots that I've only worn once because they somehow rubbed a blister on my heel even though I thought they seemed nice and comfortable. Put a plaster on my heel for protection this time and they were fine.
