Crazy 2011 clothes challenge

Ah yes, Wardrobe Freedom Mondays
I wore a pair of tan suede wedge mary-janes from Office that had never left the house!
And with them I wore: turquoise socks, rolled hem chinos, a petrol blue long sleeved top and a creamy coloured cardigan. Actually doesn't sound that good written down, but had a certain Swedish geeky charm!
Anyway, I'm now sold (soled? :rotfl:) on the shoes, and have decided they will be perfect with my vintage 70s flares (which the Sunday Time Style magazine are tipping for big things this summer). One outfit begats another it seems :TTotal debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
OK - big spend for me today - bought my DD a pair of new ski boots...£70 to declare... (god they were needed = she was in mine for the last 2 ski lessons - can i just say - I CANNOT AFFORD TO SKI myself - just sit up there in c.gorm mountain Cafe, patiently waiting for her to return.... and my boots are just blooming no use for her - WHO THE HECK STARTED ON THAT PARTICULAR HOBBY??? - oh that was me....)
they are sitting right here... watching me as i type = they are haunting me! - BUT - at least now I wont feel a cruel mother sending my child out in the snow with Crampy boots - OUUUUCCHH... away to update my Signature xxx
ps: Wardrobe freedom Monday - wore my Bearpaw Tan boots - they were very warm - forgot about them in the back of the Wardrobe!!!Wish to be out of O/draft by end of 2011 - [STRIKE]£-696.20 Jan'11 [/STRIKE][STRIKE]£633.88 Feb'11[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£-680.21[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Mar'11 £-813.13(its going the wrong way!)[/STRIKE]apr'11 £-660 (given up on this bit.. too depressing!):(Crazy 2011 clothes challenge #81: £270.97/£3000 -
Hey everyone & welcome back to keys :hello:
Great to hear about everyone's freedom monday footwear; I chose to wear my long leg high heel black boots with some cropped black trousers. It was a very interesting experiment; one of the guys noticed them immediately & then pointed them out to the others. they were branded as 'cfm' boots& I now have a new nickname :rotfl:.
It was fear of this reaction that has kept these boots at the back of my wardrobe unless they were hidden. But what is the point of having these items we love if we dont wear them so guess I am just going to have get used to the attention
Looking forward to next monday & am going to go for a whole new outfit. I never used to be so reserved; the sooner I shed those 20lbs the better. Have done my workout & brushed my teeth already so I wont eat anything else.
Eeeeeeeeeeeek to ski ing boots :eek:0 -

Thanks for the links to various slips & pretties. Yes, niccatw - I now have a pretty Victorias Secret chemise on its way to me ... will declare it as a definite spend when it's arrived & been tried on.
Oops! If I didn't know better I'd feel guilty about leading you astray!(Yes, I will be looking back at the link the next time I buy a bootiful, clinging dress!)

I fall into the trap of wearing the same pair over and over again and again and then forget about the other pairs that are tucked away in the wardrobe
Excellent idea! Loved hearing what you were all wearing! I'm out and about all day for my job so mostly my heels are not sensible work wear, so I may need to just wear them as I'm getting ready on a Monday morning!I COULD NOT believe how many pairs of jeans I have, but can't part with any of em as they all have their uses:D;)
I know that feeling! I've been getting slowly more ruthless each time I decide to have a clear out though! Especially if I haven't worn the stuff I deliberated over the last clean out I had!
I realise with the jeans that I only ever wear 4 pairs regularly - and 2 of them are "going out" jeans. If I happen to wear a pair that are not "the chosen ones", then I feel all wrong! :rotfl: But I can only bring myself to part with one pair at a time!
I managed to stay away from the shops all weekend. Largely because I was too lazy on Saturday and too fragile on Sunday after a friend's birthday party on Saturday night.
Tonight I have mostly been browsing ebay for "bright blue" tops as I wore a bright blue jumper to work today (the only item I own in such a colour) and received soooooo many compliments, I figure it must be a colour that suits me and I should get more of it! Nothing to declare as yet though.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Morning all.
Lula, are your long boots the over-knee kind? I've bought some in the sale (after a refund so nothing to declare!) but I'm a bit nervous about wearing them out. I can fold the tops down so they're normal knee-high boots but I actually think they look good with jeggings folded up. I'm a bit worried about people's reactions and I certainly won't be wearing them to lunch with Mum later. I guess the heel height affects the look. Hmmm. Mine are high!
For Fun Monday I wore a grey long Autograph cardigan that I've had for over a year but never worn and it encouraged me to get some rarely worn clothes out of the wardrobe. May wear a Liberty print top today. I think the boyfriend will hate it. Well, that's men and fashion for you!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -

Today I've got a co-ordinated outfit from White stuff on that I know I haven't worn before as the scarf still had the tag on - oops!
When I had way too much toiletries I put all the extra away in the wardrobe and when something ran out I went 'shopping' in the box to pick the next thing and I'm going to try and use a similar philosophy with clothes - especially when I'm a bit behind on the washing and so none of my favourites are in the wardrobe!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

I spent £10 on two pairs of colourful leggings. Have decided to renew my wardrobe by making it more colourful (with things like the leggings) and by wearing a nice colourful necklace each dayDFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt
