    While we're on the subject...

... has anyone tried the low-back converters?

... any suggestions for DD+ strapless that really stay put?

I've got a few things in the wardrobe that don't get exercised much due to bra issues, particularly posh dresses, so any ideas appreciated.

I have a DD from M&S that I bought last year - it's not only strapless but also colour & it doesnt slip BUT ... it's not that pretty as has 4 hooks to provide that extra support at the back so quite wide & to be honest it's so tight on me that I think I only use about 60 % oxygen when wearing it.

I was told that this is how a strapless number should be :(

I actually prefer Figleaves midnight grace stuff as I feel it give me a much more rounded shape - I dont like to be too 'pointy' - scares people :rotfl:

I hate that about strapless bras, its the stiff little wire bits most seem to have at the sides that I can't bear - they always dig into my sides (although found one in my new fav store Aerie...no I'm not on comission for them ;)) which don't have that.

I also now have an image of you a-la-Madonna styleee :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Am hoping to do a car boot tomorrow :). yes have picked out the everyday stuff - better stuff goes on ebay (or it will when I get round to it)

Also am trying this time a company that sends you a huge sack and you sell by weight - but again like some of the dress agencies they are a bit fussy and it only goes on weight & grading of clothes but it means I will shift about 20 kilos of non worn clothes out of my life in one swift move! - Will report back when I have the cheque in hand.( Wanted to try it as it could be a good money spinner for raising money for the footy club my DD3 attends.

Anyway I am supposed to be at this moment sorting through my car booty clothes ready to sell but am so tired after a walk I did this morning plus going into town , I need a sit down and a 5 min break.

And why is it a bit of sun makes you feel that you must look at holiday type clothing? I found myself looking at all the sarong thingies, and swimming stuff in TK M** - had to literally slap myself to remind myself am not even going on holiday so I don't even have a real need for any of it:eek: And its not as if I can sit out in my shared yard with all my neighbours glaring at me wearing a bikini - gawd what a sight that would be.

Anyway I need to sell clothes to make money for my DD2 prom dress material and DD1 graduation tickets not buy anymore stuff,(she says fingers crossed)

Good luck with the car boot - I find them so much easier than fleabay for shifting 'everyday stuff' plus it's good to feel the money in your hand immediatly.

Know exactly what you mean about the sun influence...hence I came back from shopping yesterday with a pair of hareem pants (or genie knickers as I've renamed them)...even though I do have a holiday to wear them on I keep swinging between 'they will make a change from dresses which I don't wear a lot or denim attire and look nice with sandels through to OMG what was I thinking  must take those back asap' :D

Good to hear that car booting is a rewarding way to sell clothes ... I need to get rid of stuff.

Just go with it for the genie knickers Kerri - I'm watching Mary queen of shops on really & some of the horrors people try to sell are hilarious :D

My total for the first quarter of the year (January to March) - £48

My total for the second quarter of the year so far (April to June) - £1

I had bought myself a pair of trousers for £4 but when I tried them on, they were horribly big! So big, I wouldn't trust them to stay on if I walked across a room. So they went back tonight.

My £1 spend was on a pair of yellow plimsoles in the Tesco sale, so out they're almost in again! They do look odd but I think I'll get some use out of them in the summer.
I've just remembered that I didn't actually pay for these! I was shopping with my mum, I did offer to pay for them but she insisted that it's "only £1" so she treated me to them :j So technically I've only spent £48 so far this year.
    Thank you competition posters!

Decluttering - now your making me think i've done extra bad ;) lol.
  • Hello everybody!

I've not posted for a while, but that's because *drum roll* I haven't bought anything! :T I even managed to resist a detour to the Toast clearance shop last week on holiday, and went into town yesterday and failed to find anything much that interested me. Well, if I'm honest there were a pair of wedge sandles in River Island, but none in my size, so that sorted that out. This nice weather has made me become quite desperate for some new denim shorts though, so may have to do something about that this week.

I like this quarterly totals idea too (or will I when I see the results!)

First Quarter: £246.90 :eek: Although this does include two pairs of jeans and lots of new underwear so should be good long term CPW investments.

Second Quarter (so far): £17.99 - now that more like it!

Not tried low back converters but I do have a strapless from Wonderbra (think it's called Ultimate Strapless or something) which I have in a 30DD. Don't know what their full range is for sizes but worth a look.

I don't know if I'd exactly recommend it. It does not move that's for sure! But is so tight it has given me indigestion before :rotfl: and tends to give a bit of a flesh roll top and bottom so doesn't work with everything, and thus TBH I haven't worn it that much.

Oh me too Kerri, and again can't decide if it's a good idea or not! I may be being influenced by my up coming trip to Morocco!
