Morning all and lots of (((((hugs))))) to those who need 'em

Didn't have good night sleep (nothing new there then)
WM unloaded/re-loaded and on. Tumble dryer on. DW emptied from last night and loaded up again. Just browned all meat and veg off in a pan for Beef Stew thats now in the SC for tonights dinner. Smells lovely.

OH at work at 09.30 this morning to he's taken the kids to school 4 me.

*pink* - I brought a contraption thing from the vets (only 30p) its like syringe but it grips the animals tablet. I use a towel to wrap my cats in - so they dont claw or scratch me, prize open their mouth pop the syringe thing in - release the tablet, hold the jaw closed and rub throat - until they swallow. Works for me. I have 1 cat who lays back and lets you do it with no fuss, the other - is like being in a boxing ring. Otherwise try disguising it in some ham. Dont crush the tablet tho, as it will digest a lot quicker than it being whole, may cause problems.

Sat and wrapped 2 huge pass the parcels last night ready for DD birthday party on Sat. Plus also made a list of the games we will play. Cant wait.

Right must go and get in the shower, start work in an hr.
    Catch u all later
    love as usual

    Morning all,

Hope you all had a good weekend! :) I had a lovely day on Friday (our anniversary) and the rest of the weekend was lovely and quite productive too as we have planned and bought quite a few xmas presents. We are hoping to have it all done and dusted by Dec 1st. Got DD's birthday on the 20th as well so it's going to be a busy couple of weeks  I managed to get the best bargain for DD's birthday; I went into a charity shop just on the off chance I might see something and I saw an Air Hockey Game that she will LOVE :T Best of all, it's still in it's box and it cost £1 :D I've got loads of other bits for her too which I'm sure she'll love.

Not allowed to do much on the housework front on strict orders of my OH as I have sprained my foot, it's all swollen and very painful. Not sure how I've done it but it's getting better and just needs a bit more rest. He's away all week now :( so I may sneak some housework in while he's away!

Hope you all have a good day :)

  • happy Monday all!

Had a very OS weekend, helping the BF sort his new flat out and cooking a roast for a friend who is over from Oz for a few weeks.

Aunty's funeral went well. Well, as well as can be expected. There was a cremation for family only, then a service of thanksgiving for her life in her church. 200+ people came along, and lots of people said lovely things. We will miss her very much, but knowing how loved and appreciated she was by so many people makes it a little better.

hugs to those that need them .
  • Morning everybody :hello:

Didn't manage to get on here at all yesterday because I was just SOOOOOOOO productive!

Am aching all over as if I'd been on a 10-mile run without warming up first - thanks to spending about 6 hours lugging stuff down from the loft and packing boxes. I was determined to get as much of it as possible done yesterday, as I have a removal man coming round tonight to give me a quote. This is a removal firm I used last year when I cleared out the storage unit I used to rent, so I'm hoping his quote seems reasonable as I'd really like to use the same firm again.

My copy of the Times on Saturday contained a copy of the Robert Dyas sale catalogue with reductions on a number of things I really need, and I'm a great believer in the theory that if you have a certain budget for a certain item, I'd rather spend that amount on the best item I can get for the price rather than looking for something that comes in waaaay under budget - if you see what I mean. So I am now the proud owner of a fab set of Sabatier kitchen knives, reduced from £120 to £39.99 - plus a £5 voucher for my next purchase - I have at least 3 other items earmarked for purchase one at a time so I can maximise their voucher potential ;)

I also bought a bed yesterday - the sort I've always wanted, a traditional metal bedstead with knobs on :D. Carried it home myself on the train... just kidding :D. It's being delivered the day after I move in to the new place (my dad is lending me his Z-bed for the first night, supposedly to be helpful, but obviously it's really so that he can come and have a nosey at my new flat the moment I move in! ;))

Lunch will be macaroni cheese - a ready-meal :naughty: - sorry I know I'm going to be drummed out of OS for that, but as moving is so chaotic I've stocked up on a few yellow-stickered ready meals so I don't have to cook properly. I packed my SC and BM yesterday! Tonight will be reheated HM chilli, though, so do not despair, I am not a completely lost cause ;)

Got loads of items I need to list on Freecycle this evening - a wardrobe and chest of drawers, my old flatbed scanner, a matching headboard and bedside lamp, a big box of unused blank tapes, and I'm sure there was some other stuff too!

Must go now, work to do, but I hope to be back later - ((((hug)))) to anybody who needs one.

    Rzl xx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning ! :hello:

Been away for quite a while, did anyone miss me? no? :o well anyway I have been working on a special project, very exciting and all absorbing. Have also been away to Wales to visit sis and managed to visit a boot sale and got a few lovely bargains! hanging bird feeder £1, 2 pretty plant pots for 50p, coffee pot 50p, breadmaker for my sister - wait for it .....£3!! only been used once! it is a german one that makes bread, pasta, jam and cakes, has a window and a rapid bake setting, that has to be the best bargain yet.

Catching up on everything I must send congrats to Joannas Mum, I remember the shocked surprise when i found out that I was expecting my 2nd having been told by the specialists that I couldn't have any more babies (endometriosis) she is now 22 yrs old and a delight.

Also Michelle your pic of baby Charlie is lovely, he is gorgeous!

    Morning!
You lot are such busy Bees!
This last week I have been doing a bit of shopping for Xmas.
I now have a little stack of books for DD from Amazon , a new 1GB pen drive for DS and a windup mobile phone charger for each of them(£7 each delivered),no more excuses about not ringing home if they are going to be late! .
I put my embroidery machine to work during the week too and embroidered the cyclist touring club logo on 6 pairs of socks for OH (he loves the old wheel with wings logo and is a member) and a big purple skull on a pink t-shirt for DD (I know, wierd ,but she will like it).
I've stuck a huge bag of books out the front this morning for a charity collection.I hope they collect it as they have been taking up a lot of room waiting to go to the charity shop but are too heavy to carry to town.
I took the kids to Karate this saturday as DH was policing the Lord mayors show in London. Luckily I took my phone with me as it is a very long wait. I've got some puzzle games installed on it and they come in very handy during taxi duty.
Well I'd better get on and get the bread machine working.I forgot first thing this morning:eek:
