Morning ladies and gents
lovely to see some new faces on the thread.
Pink - i PM'd you woth my two penneth worth on cats.
RZL - well done on your achievements this weekend.
I didn't manage a lot this weekend, but i did spend some quality time with my folks while DH was at work. volunteered myself for a big flylady at their house, and volunteered DH for some DIY. He loved that when i told him. I know it shouldn't be my place to offer help as my other sis still lives at home, but my poor mum is struggling as everyone treats it like a hotel. sis's boyfriend lives with them, and has a new towel every time he washes his face, so several a day. My bro has been treat like a prince his whole life, so still leaves a trail of destruction behind him. Also, my sis means well but is a bit lax. while i was there, her DS(13 months) put several shoes in the bath, and she had forgotten to empty it. Mum works full time (6 days a week) running her own shop, and is full time carer for my dad, and they are both seriously down about the house. (I personally would ask sis and boyf to leave as they are both 21, and would get rid of 3 peoples mess.)
Anyway, i have written myself a list of tasks for the week. Now baby is more settled, if i get my house more sorted i can get across to theirs a couple of times a week, and get them semi-organised for xmas. (it's so bad, they still have suitcases full of clothes, from when they came back off holiday at the beginning of September.) Think i can do something there.
Anyway, best go make some sort of start on my jobs. I haven't even got ready yet, but i have had breakie and emptied cat litter tray, and the WM was put on before i went to bed so i am already ahead.
Hugs to all. Welcome back catznine. Glad you had an enjoyable time in wales.

DD (12) has virus that has given her a sore throat and she has lost her voice.
Waiting for phone call for my Dad's sofa and chair to be picked up via freecycle.
Still discussing if there is anything we can do on behalf of DH's best friend who died six weeks ago.
May make large quiche for tea or else spag bol.
Bought some nice jewellery for DD online so very pleased.
Hugs to everyone."This site is addictive!"

Morning everyone:)
Grrrr, just had a very boring trek around Tesco's, was much needed as we were out of almost all basics. Picked up 2 halloween costumes for the kids for next year for £2 and one for my niece in New Zealand as they said how difficult they are to find over there. It's christmas everywhere now, I love christmas but can do without the christmas trees until december, all it does is get the children excited and then you have to disappoint them by teking them they have to wait another 6 weeks.
House was given a tidy yesterday stairs need hoovering of which I have 3 flights to do, meal planning has be changed and we are now having spag bol, I lurve the smell of bacon onions and wine cooking.
Thought I'd mention that we watched "March of the Penguins" last night (well 1/2 of it, still have the rest to watch tonight). I have to say it was the most beautiful program I have ever seen, it won an Oscar for best documentary in 2006 and in narrated by Morgan Freeman. It is purely about penguins living in the Antartic and their life, which involves a yearly trek to find a mate and breed. It went so much deeper than being purely about penguins and was a real thought provoker as to our own existence and just how powerful mother nature can be... I would recommend it to anyone.0 -
Pink - just ask your vet for the drops for the back of the neck for both round and tape worms - been on the go a while now and less hassle for all concerned.Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0

Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a good day.
Michelle: how do you manage to get someone else's house sorted when you have such a new baby?? I am amazed! Well done, but make sure you do get some rest, too.
We have had a busy morning running around after a glazier to redo a faulty window. Nothing is easy involving workmen, esp when you have 2 young kids. All sorted now and we are all fed. Kids playing with their cousin who I have for a couple of hours. WM done one load. Need to finish stripping the beds and can then put another load in.
Dinner tonight will prob be lasagne, salad, chips and HM bread.
Have a good afternoon everyone!!0 -
Morning all
I haven't posted for a couple of days as to be honest I was sick both mentally and physically but I've taken a couple of days to myself and feel much better. My nan's internment was Saturday so I think that has also helped as it means I don't now need to see the rest of the family again and I can get on with my life.
Anyway had an interview for my current job this morning so hopefully that will become perm. Should find out later today or tomorrow so fingers crossed.
I have this afternoon off so I'm off home to have a good clean through to take my mind of the waiting and I might make something nice for dinner but to be honest I'm if told about the job today dinner may be a meal out to celebrate.
As always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Afternoon a'body.
Don't really know where the morning has gone.
Didn't sleep well last night, DS dreamt he'd wet the bed again - he never does, just thinks he has.
But then the wind kept kicking off the alarm of the car right outside our bedroom window, one of the alarms that beeps the horn IYKWIM. Aaargh.
Thought about coming on here and being one of the firsties, but then I read a bit of my book instead. Bed was cosy even if I wasn't asleep.
Just made a chuck it all in chilli soup in SC. See what it's like when it comes out. Effectively it's free cos it's all stuff I had in anyway - may chuck in an old tin of mushrooms I have lurking from when I pressed the wrong button in an online order. Those storecupboards are emptying - and I can see the edges of the freezer - woo hoo.
Haircuts for kids later - DS wants number 3 all over like uncle steve  . Would be ok, but he's very very blond -he's gonna look bald! At 4 !
First time for DD- we'll just see how she goes, just want to trim the wispy bits off so it looks a bit thicker - don't trust myself.
Take care all - I'm off to attack the ironing while DD sleeps.:A <-- that's me, not DD.
((Hugs)) tink - and good luck with the job."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0
